As many of you know Midwest Coachworks has been open part time and by appointment only. The reason for this is that I was still on active duty and stationed right here at Ft Riley. On the 24th of this month I officially sign out on terminal leave and will be retired in July after 26yrs of service.
I have been crappy about managing the social media for the shop and we have plans to pick that up so tune in for that.
We have a pending grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony this summer with the JC chamber of commerce (dates are still tbd).
We will also be open during the week as well as staying open Saturday and Sunday
(We will be closed on Mondays).
There’s a lot more going on so come check us out at the new building at 2122 N. Spring Valley Rd.

Ok Junction City and surrounding areas. This storm is crazy and we’ve seen a lot of accidents on the roads. Banging up your car or truck is no way to start the year off so we’re gonna throw this out there for those of you who’ve had an accident recently. Now through the end of January Midwest Coachworks will waive your insurance deductible (up to $500) if you have us complete the repairs to you vehicle. We work with all insurance companies and will handle the job from the initial estimate through the completion of repair. So if your collision deductible is $500 or less, you will have $0 out of pocket expense to get your vehicle back to pre accident condition. Message us here on FB, email me at [email protected] or go to our website and click the “contact us” tab.

The 1972 Chevy 4x4 pickup got some attention this week. Barn find tailgate and a lot of hours of bodywork on the bed. Spray in bedliner is next. Gotta get a hold of some old 6 lug wheels with smaller tires so I can get the cab in the booth (between the lifted suspension and the mud tires, it’s too tall for the booth).

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family It’s been an amazing year for us here at Midwest Coachworks and that wouldn’t be possible without the support of our friends, our awesome customers, and our fantastic community. Next year will come with its challenges but big things are coming so keep checking back. I will do better about posting in the new year.

Some black with green and gold flake on the 62 Impala. We’ll wet sand everything and lay down a final coat of clear. This one’s been a long road but we’re coming to the finish line. Excited for the customer to see it in person.

Roof of the 1962 Impala got some love this past weekend. Lace and panel work in gold over emerald green. We topped it off with a mix of gold, green, and holographic micro flake. Super excited about this project that’s been a long work in progress. Can’t wait for our customer to see it.

Shop Update: We've been crazy busy this past year and I haven't posted much. For this i'm sorry and will try to be better about this. I'll get some pictures of what we've had going on up soon.
We're back to weekends only right now but we're plugging away. We have the guys from Lone Star Air Suspension on board with us and they're killing it. They are putting some awesome stuff together and its nice having the extra help at the shop. Check out their page and give them some love.
We are waiting on our new building to get delivered/assembled that will house the new paint booth, mix/prep room and finish area. This will cut down on production time for up and help get these cars out sooner. Having some delays with the subcontractor so that is holding things up. If I have to, I will end up canceling the transaction and finding another building (any of you doing concrete work and interested in pouring a pad for us, shoot me a message).
To my customers with cars at the shop, I want you to know we are getting after your projects as quickly as possible but we also need to ensure the work is right too (no cutting corners).

We’ll, we finally wrapped up the 1946 International the other day. Shop’s been crazy busy lately so not much time for facebook posts. I’ll try to get some more stuff posted on what we’ve had going on.

We just want to clear the air and let everyone know that we have not shut down. I've had a couple calls about this from current customers. Midwest Carplex here in Junction City is closed (I dont know the details nor would I share on social media if I did). We've been confused with them in the past. Midwest Coachworks is open, we're still getting after it and would love to talk to you about your next project car/truck, restoration goal, or collision repair needs.
