I used to do cash tint jobs back when they were borderline passable for a regular state inspection. Because I had no receipt, I had no way to do a warranty claim on a film failures. All the top name films claim lifetime warranties. I don't know how difficult they are to pursue but film replacement can be very time consuming. I've only seen this on mostly flat glass windows that are consistently parked in direct sunlight. I didn't used to have that when I was a 3M dealer but because I'm not a larger scale installer, I couldn't meet the minimum purchase requirement. I'm going to send out for a new samples to try a different film. Now that it's fair game, I'll have a receipt and hopefully get reimbursed for somebody else's product failure
