We are so honored to finally welcome home Maryland native, and our neighbor, US Army Air Corp 1st Lt. Walter Bateman. 1st Lt. Bateman sacrificed his life in World War II, then spent over eighty years unknown to the world. He will finally be laid to rest in Joppa on September 6th. We salute you; a true hero.

WE'RE HIRING! We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to setup, maintain, and operate our 600-ton Accurpress, 130-ton Accurpress, and Accur Shear machinery.

Job Overview
• Position: Machine Operator (Press Brake & Shear)
• Department: Fabricating / Manufacturing
• Employment Type: Full-Time
Equipment Operator Responsibilities
• 600-Ton Accurpress: Form large-scale, heavy gauge sheet metal and plate steel using appropriate heavy tooling and a fork truck.
• 130-Ton Accurpress: Precision-bend smaller, light gauge components with a focus on speed, accuracy, and repeatable setups.
• Accur Shear: Squaring, blanking, and shearing sheet metal and plate steel to exact dimensional requirements prior to forming.
Setup & Technical Duties
• Select, change, and align standard and custom dies, punches, and shearing blades.
• Program and adjust CNC back gauges and machine controllers for accurate depth and dimensions.
• Conduct regular measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and protractors to verify angles and tolerances.
Maintenance & Safety
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections, including fluid level checks and machine lubrication.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: Minimum 1-year operating CNC hydraulic press brakes and industrial metal shears (direct experience with Accurpress or Accur Shear brands preferred).
• Math Skills: Proficient in basic shop math, fractional/decimal conversions, and angle calculations.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
