US stocks again sold off sharply on Thursday as worries about coronavirus mounted. The S&P 500 posted its worst day since August 18, 2011, and the three main indexes fell into correction territory. Stocks are on track for their worst week since the financial crisis.

STORY TIME!!
Spoiler alert: one of the worst customer service experience.

I don't really care about IHOP but the wife wanted pancakes from there so, hell, why not.
I placed an order online and got there 4 minutes after the pick-up time just to be sure it would be ready.

1. Nobody greeted me and had to wait for 10 minutes for somebody to ask me what I needed (somebody came 5 minutes after me and got his online order right away)
2. I told one of the worker that I was here to pick up an online order and she goes and disappear for 15 minutes without giving me an update.
3. I have to ask somebody else for update because in the mean time 2 other customers get their order.
4. They didn't even make the order, a mix up they said.
5. When I finally get my food, half of the order is missing and I had to mention that to them.
6. When I finally got my order, I didn't even get a simple apology. NOTHING.

If anybody knows me, I have lower standard than most people for food related customer service, and my expectations are even lower at IHOP
BUT HOLLY HELL THIS WAS TERRIBLE!

I guess working in customer service for the past 3 years has made me notice things like that a little bit more often but wow, this was one of the worst experience I've had in my life.

Please clean up your act guys, I won't be back but at least do better for the next guy.

EDIT: chicken was slightly undercooked, which you know, is not the right way to cook chicken if you don't want to have salmonella or diarrhea.

My family in Hong Kong are currently celebrating Chinese New Year (based on the lunar calendar) and this year is the year of the Rat!

The Rat is the Chinese zodiac sign known for being inquisitive, shrewd, and resourceful. The Rat is also the first in the rotation of the 12 zodiac signs, meaning that a Rat year is a year of renewal. Which is pretty fitting for the beginning of a new decade.

Growing up I've never really understood the point of those celebration and traditions.
But now that I'm older and away from any member of my family, the traditions mean something and makes sense to me.
