Employee Profile:
Alec Lechleitner
Finance Department | Finance Manager
Alec Lechleitner is no stranger to hard work, dedication, and long hours. Growing up in a family with five boys, he learned the value of hard work at a very young age. By the age of six, Alec was already helping his father with odd jobs around the house and later assisting with his father’s small excavation and plumbing business. Those early experiences helped shape the strong work ethic and hands-on mentality he still carries today.
Alec’s journey with Offroad Motorsports began when he was just 14 years old. Through a business transaction between his father and Offroad owner Jordan Waybright, Alec had the opportunity to meet Jordan while helping his dad with work at Jordan’s home. It didn’t take long for Jordan to notice Alec’s ambition and willingness to work hard. Soon after, Alec began helping around Jordan’s property with tasks like w**d whacking, mowing pastures, and taking on whatever jobs needed to be done.
As Alec continued proving himself, Jordan offered him a position at the Myerstown dealership when help was needed at the shop. Alec started out doing many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep a dealership moving; washing units, taking out trash, and assisting technicians whenever possible. Once he earned his driver’s license, his schedule became nonstop as he balanced school, responsibilities at home, and learning the dealership business. Although the long days could be exhausting, Alec loved every opportunity to grow professionally and take on new responsibilities
When Offroad Motorsports relocated from Myerstown to Jonestown, Alec essentially grew up alongside the business. Through his school’s co-op program, he was able to work even more closely with the dealership and eventually transitioned into helping full-time right before the COVID-19 pandemic. Even during the challenges and restrictions of COVID, Alec remained committed to doing whatever was needed. Whether it was assisting customers with sales from a desk in the breezeway, helping stock and receiving parts, or filling in wherever extra help was needed, he continued learning every aspect of dealership operations. By stepping into countless roles over the years, Alec gained valuable experience and a deep understanding of the industry.
Fast forward six years, and Alec now serves as the Finance Manager at Offroad Motorsports. One of his favorite parts of the job is working directly with customers. Alec genuinely enjoys helping people and finds it rewarding to structure financing solutions that help customers get into the machine they want. His role requires a tremendous amount of attention to detail, organization, and communication while working through credit applications and coordinating with lenders. Like many people who wear multiple hats in a fast-paced dealership environment, staying organized and managing time can sometimes be challenging; but Alec continues to thrive under pressure.
What truly sets Alec apart is his personality and ability to connect with people. He prides himself on being approachable, personable, and easy to talk to. Whether interacting with longtime customers or first-time buyers, Alec has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and welcomed.
When asked who inspires him most in his career, Alec points to both his father and Jordan. His father taught him the importance of hard work from a young age and never treated him differently simply because he was young. Jordan, meanwhile, recognized Alec’s ambition early on and gave him opportunities to grow within the company, continually trusting him with responsibilities beyond his years and allowing him to prove himself along the way.
Outside of work, Alec enjoys riding horses, riding side-by-sides, traveling, and most importantly, spending quality time with his daughter, Zelli.
