CAN bus systems are great when they work, but one broken wire can lead to a world of headache.

This 2018 F250 came in because half of his interior accessories wouldn’t work. Im not going to blow smoke and say we got it on the first try, this was an extensive search to find this broken wire.

Isolation is key when trying to find issues on a CAN bus. After disconnecting all the modules on the Meduim speed CAN, we were able to pinpoint which side of the cab the issue was coming from. From there we could trace the wire and find the issue.

Electrical diagnostics isn’t always about replacing parts until the problem goes away. Sometimes it’s about knowing where to look and taking the time to isolate the fault.

We’ve had a little bit of everything through the doors lately!

First up is a FL60 with a CAT 3126 in for an injector and some electrical diag.

Then we have an LML Duramax that decided one of its pistons had had enough. We’re getting that one torn down and back together with Mahle delipped pistons and some other “hold together” parts to hopefully keep everything inside the engine where it belongs.

And finally, a 6.7 Powerstroke with a cracked intercooler. Not exactly the kind of crack you want to find, but that’s what we’re here for.

Different brands, different problems, same goal. Get them fixed right and get them back on the road.

Little shop update.. we’ve expanded! We now 4 full bays to better serve you and your vehicles.

We’re also taking on more Duramax than normal, which is a little concerning. We must’ve gotten the rest of them fixed right and now they only need to come back for regular maintenance.

Lastly, it wouldn’t be a KDS post if someone didn’t ruin an engine. This late 5.9 had a clogged injector and wasn’t able to catch it in time. Another full engine rebuild is under way, maybe with more displacement!

It’s been a while since we made a post. You guys have been keeping us BUSY and we are so grateful.

Here’s a Hellcat and some other fun projects from over the last month.

We also got merch! Stop in for a shirt or shoot us a text. Shirts are $15/ea and will be getting hats in soon!

Man this last month flew by! You guys have been keeping us busy and we appreciate it more than you know.

Up first is a 19’ F250 in for a regular service and a S&S Diesel Motorsport CP4 Disaster prevention kit.

Secondly we got a 22’ L5P in for a Wehrli Custom Fabrication Inc. stage 2 intake kit in illusion purple, along with a couple other goodies, to keep this truck breathing and performing at its best!

Then finally we have Corey Kendall and his 00’ 24v in for a WP Developments street flite FMVB 47re, Kingspeed front timing cover, Full Send Diesel transmission lines amongst other go-fast parts to put that 400hp to the ground when needed.

We also have up a banner in the main office listing some of the services we offer, along with some visual aids of what too much power or not enough maintenance can do to your engine internals.

The big 3 💪🏼

Not everything that comes through the door has a destroyed motor. Here are some fun ones from over the last week.

07’ 5.9 G56 truck got setup with new 110 # valve springs, 7/16 pushrods, 175% FDI injectors and a 475 turbo.

14’ 6.7 in for a single radiator conversion with electric fans, new upper rad pipe, and a new intake.

Got the engine ripped out of the shop truck, stay tuned for what’s in store for it!

Last but not least a 22’ L5P came in for a DPF cleaning and new tip!
