I always like to explain things from a customer's point of view and help them learn about their vehicle because a lot of garages treat you like you are stupid and you should already know. Shame on them if they do. So I will try to post things to help.

Engine lights are a huge pain for everyone (especially mechanics). We see at least 3 a day! It is not an easy fix. Many people think that if you put a computer on it that tells you everything. The computer gives you codes only as a starting point and it is a very time consuming process. So no matter what mechanic you go to, just be patient. I know it's difficult to wait but if they are rushed, your car might not be fixed correctly.
