Monday Morning Mechanic Tip!!

UNEVEN BRAKE PAD WEAR IS NOT NORMAL!!!

Yes, this customer needed new brake pads as they were at the end of life and then some! Notice how one side of the pad is nonexistent and the top side still has a bit left? This happened because the slide pin become seized due to rust or dried grease, preventing the caliper from applying even pressure to the rotor. This will and can destroy your pad life that you have and or ruin the brake rotor too! If neglected long enough you could damage the brake caliper and need a new one as well!

Have your Brakes inspected every 6 months or so to avoid having issues with your breaking system. And of course when they start stealing and squeaking give us a call and schedule your appointment!

**Note it is just as important to be able to stop the vehicle as it is for it to drive! 🚗🚙🛻
