Kiddys Classics

Kiddys Classics Our focus is restoring, rebuilding, and modernizing any automobile. We specialize in projects that No project is too big or too small.

Whether it is a classic car or truck, vehicles just don't seem to be made like they used to. Our main focus is restoring, rebuilding, and modernizing any automobile. We specialize in taking a project that most people would give up on and restoring it, using the highest quality materials. We do not build "Resale Restorations", we use traditional methods of metal working to bring your car's body bac

k to its original shape. We want our repairs to reflect our dedication to your vehicle. All of our repair panels are tig welded, hammered and dollied and filed for a seamless repair. Whether you are currently in the process of a restoration or you are ready to begin one, we would like to help. Regardless of the present state of your vehicle, we at Kiddy’s Classics can bring your dream automobile back to life. Our goal for a finished restoration is to make it look as good - or better than it did when it rolled off the assembly line. "Kiddy's Classics" was started on the Treasure Coast of Florida, in Jensen Beach, located one hour north of West Palm. We provide services to clients all across the country and can help you arrange transportation or shipping of your project - big or small - to our location.

Things I Wish I Knew Sooner About This Craft
Highlight Lines vs. Reflection Lines

There’s a subtle difference between what light can show and what it can tell.

Reflections can reveal if a surface is smooth — but they can be deceiving when it comes to the accuracy of the form.

Highlight lines tell a deeper story. They’re the softer bands of light that flow along changes in radius, revealing whether the shape and form are truly consistent. Designers placed them with intent — defining the balance, proportion, and motion of the design.

When I began focusing on highlight lines first, the smooth surface followed naturally. I now spend less time chasing imperfections and more time revealing the vehicle’s true character.

What’s the most difficult vehicle, or section of a vehicle, you’ve ever had to bodywork?

What made it so tough, and how did you work through it?

Curious to hear what others have run into.

Museum-bound!
This 1930 Franklin made a return visit to our shop for a few final touches before heading to the in Michigan.

We had the honor of doing extensive restoration work on this pre-war gem, and it’s always a pleasure to see it roll back through our doors.

Franklins were way ahead of their time — and if you’ve never ridden in one, it’s like floating down the road on your living room sofa. Smooth, quiet, elegant.

From Blank Sheet to Seamless Repair

It’s taken years to get our process here, and we’re still learning and refining every day.

Swipe to see each stage of this 1975 Dodge truck roof repair:
→ Patch panel formed on the Pullmax
→ Back-purged TIG welds
→ No grinding, just planishing using
→ Finished in 801-74 epoxy, with no filler

Every step in the process matters.

This work wouldn’t be what it is without the influence of . His understanding of metal, form, and material science fundamentally changed how I see the process. This panel is a direct result of those lessons.

This is how we restore the integrity of a panel, by shaping it, not hiding it.

It’s never too early to learn.
My son is spending his summer break in the shop, learning the tools, working alongside the team, talking with clients, and laying down his first welds.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.

This is how it starts.
One weld at a time.

We’ve been quiet, but not idle.

Over the past several years, we’ve rebuilt every step in our process, then rebuilt the shop around the ex*****on of that process.

What we’ve learned along the way has reshaped everything we thought we knew. It hasn’t been easy, and I’m forever grateful for a team that continues to grow and push alongside me.

In the photos, the Dart is on deck for final tuning of the reflection lines. By using matte black primer and proper lighting, we’re able to see the surface for what it is and refine the design as it was originally intended.

This is Body by Kiddy.

A little glimpse into our work today on the 54 Chevy.

Jesse is working on the roof panel window reveal and making sure the windshield will sit in that gasket perfectly.
