Danny’s birthday today and he received a new shirt that he knows all too well! Still working on the new car to get it track ready and finish the season out. As our race family knows building a car takes time, just when you think you have it one thing after another can go wrong. Although our car isn’t out there we’ve still enjoyed cheering on our friends!

Outlaw Racing Apparel Update:
Due to possible COVID exposure the shop was closed for a period of time. I was notified today they are now processing orders. I will receive a notification once the order has been completed. I’m so sorry for the long wait but unfortunately the situation is out of our control.

Car Update: Dan and the boys have been working on it when they can. We won’t make it to this race but formula 4s have two weeks off so we will be back soon! In the meantime the kid is playing ⚾️ and turning🔧 We wish all of our race friends the best of luck this weekend🏁

After much discussion as a family we have decided Danny will return to the track. Some of you might be reading this asking was there ever any question?
As parents first, it was hard to witness the second major crash and we are still checking in with Danny to make sure he’s in the right head space. As a race team, we are pretty excited to see our favorite driver focused on rebuilding and kicking butt!
We are taking Danny’s lead on this one. We DO NOT want to push him. He has expressed many times that this is what he wants. We asked if he was scared when the wreck happened and he said he was thinking, “oh no, here I go” and nothing much after that. He said he trusted the car and his safety equipment.
As of today we have a car! It’s going to take time to put it all together but we have one! Dan, Danny and Brody have already started to pull what they can off the old car.
We are still looking for sponsors so if anyone is interested in helping the kid out send us a PM.

He is ok. Bloody nose, sore and a bump on the forehead but he assures me he is fine. He said, “if dad can get me in another car I’ll race it!” He has been checked and he really is ok.
He was making his way around the track, moved up to first and got bumped which sent him over the bank. He said it was either that or the wall. Some say he was airborne and then he hit a concrete barrier and fence.
I may have pushed people out of the way and Dan may have told a few people off as we were rushing to him, for that we are sorry but in that situation you can’t keep parents away! When I heard someone say there is blood 🩸 I needed to see him myself and no one was going to stop me. As soon as I got to him he said “mom I’m ok, I’m fine” he was more worried about calming me down. The kid still had a smile on his face and wished everyone else on the track good luck!
We appreciate our race family for helping us through the night. A special shout-out to Wendy for checking on Danny💕 Thank you to Aaron and many others sprinting down the track to make it to Danny. We would like to thank everyone that helped. I apologize because I don’t even know who all was there. To be honest no one and nothing else mattered at that moment, we had tunnel vision to get to him.
The cage and safety equipment worked. Danny did everything right and we are proud of him. We thank God for watching over our boy. We know this car is going to the race car graveyard but Jr. wants to get back on the track this season so Outlaw Racing will be back at it again! Not sure what, when or really how yet but Dan and Danny don’t quit.

*Post is from Sunday, sorry I’m late getting it out here. We have another Saturday full of Baseball and Racing planned for this weekend!

What a day! Danny Boy played his favorite game ⚾️ yesterday morning.JV played against Littleton. He pitched two innings, played first and had a couple hits. Once the game was done we made a mad dash to the track and had just enough time for tech and safety checks to get out for practice.
Danny has a new car (manual) this year. He moved up from the daredevils to the formula 4 division. He wasn’t crazy about how the car felt during practice so they made some minor adjustments. During the heat race he looked good and moved up from the back of the pack (luck of the draw #16) but it was running a little hot, made some more adjustments and good to go. In lineup before he hit the track something went wrong! Thanks to our race family they found Dan Sr. and helped switch out a bolt for the ball joint. As always Danny was cool as a cucumber and said if dad can fix it I’ll race it!
During the feature he had his share of agricultural designing 😆 He was able to get right back in and then had a taste of the wall after being tapped in the rear while passing another car,he’s ok! His car overheated and we are 99% sure the motor blew. He took a trip down pit road and parked it. The motor will come out this week to asses the damage. Good news, we have a backup so no matter what he will be back next weekend. Not bad for a kid that’s only driven a manual car 3 times!
He’s still learning and it’s been pretty awesome watching him figure it all out!
