As you saw a while back, we had our first BRZ/FRS come in. It came in with a P0018 code. Which meant that the intake cam sprocket was not in sync with the rest of the engine. The fix to that was to replace that sprocket. But with Alex's deeper knowledge of these engines, he knew that it was caused by the factory silicone sealant being applied incorrectly, so we recommended a full engine reseal to get all of the old silicone off and reapply it properly. The customer asked us to document the process thoroughly, so we figured we would share it for anybody that was curious of what this process looks like.

In case anybody in or passing through Jeannette is unaware, there is, in fact, a 4 way stop sign at the intersection of Penn and 13th. I have been here for exactly one (1) hour and I have seen 3 people run the stop sign and 2 more almost lock up their brakes. Every one of them was doing in excess of 40 mph in a 25 zone.

Jeannette Gazette Take 3 should do a story on this epidemic to get the attention of the city officials. It is getting insane. I'm just hoping our security camera footage does not turn into a s***f film because of this.

Another engine going in. This is a 3.6 6 cylinder going into a Legacy. The old one had a compression issue which we believe to be a burnt valve, and it was about the same amount of labor to fix the old one than it was to buy a new one, not counting the fact that it was consuming oil on the cylinder with the burnt valve.

Most of our customers keep their vehicles clean and in nice shape. This Tacoma is owned by one of our very good long time customers and it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, and he takes incredible care of it. He also applies Fluid Film rustproofing to it every year because PA is really hard on cars in the winter. This is a 2017 and knowing the market for these things, it's probably worth within 85% of it's original MSRP.

The dealer couldn't diagnose the coolant loss on this 2019 Prius with an unbelievable 348,026 miles on it. We diagnosed it as needing a head gasket within 10 minutes. Tearing it apart revealed that the gasket failed at the cylinder wall coolant passage between cylinders 1 and 2 and was pushing coolant into cylinder 1.

Side note, look how phenomenal it looks inside here. Keep up on your maintenance, folks. This car will easily hit half a million and keep going after this.
