Some of the first customers for ShadeTree got some work done today. Started with a basic diagnostic in Grove, then I prepped and started tearing down a 350 Small Block Chevy motor in the engine shop.

That's right ShadeTree has an engine shop and can perform full engine rebuilds!!!

Was looking good until the head came off and found some cylinder damage. This one is either destined for the scrap heap or the machine shop. Hope I get the chance to give this one a second life!!!

Took my skills to a completely different level on this one. 95 F150 with crank no start symptom. Traced it to a bad pickup coil in the distributor causing no ignition, and due to some bad capacitors and a burned circuit trace in the PCM the fuel pumps would not work. Refurbished units sell for $400 or more and I was able to repair this one for a fraction of the cost. Sorry no after photos, didn't know I would need them.

Helped out an old friend that's already been running his own place for a while now. This one has been sitting for a few years waiting on an engine installation. Even if you like a good jigsaw puzzle we have no idea where all the bolts are!! 🤣🤣🤣

Some recent work of mine. Terri's 2015 Silverado High Country 4X4. Stopped wanting to go forward one day. A quick scan of the TCM and a fluid pan inspection revealed the worst. The 6L80 transmission in these trucks are known for their torque converter to fail causing the entire transmission to need replacement. We ordered a Quick Ship 6L80 from Monster Transmission. It's built with updates to help prevent this failure. That last trailer ride to the local GM dealership for a TCM reflash was the last step to get Terri and her beautiful truck back on the road!!

I want to say thank you to everyone who has been sharing my business page. Starting it has been on my mind often lately, and I was afraid to take this leap but here we go. Special thanks to my wife Bryanna Morris for supporting me in this endeavor, and helping me set up the page since I'm not very Facebook savvy.

I would like to introduce myself , my name is walter . I've always been interested in how things work. I started taking my bike apart when I was young kid using my dad's tools. Before long I was fixing bikes for other neighborhood kids. I began tinkering with lawnmowers which turned into fixing cars. I attended Northeastern Technology Center for automotive in Little Kansas my senior year of high school but decided not to finish as my life took a different directions. My love for working in cars never stopped. I have done full engine rebuilds, transmission swaps, engine swaps, and recently took a successful shot at repairing a burned computer circuit board on a 95 Ford F150.
I want to say Thank You for learning about me today . i am looking forward to helping you with your cars needs.
