Auto Trends....
We did it !!! It's official. We have both officially retired. 😊We opened the car lot in August 1986. He was 27 and me 25 years old. It was so scary. That was over 37 years ago. The official closing date is the 31st although we have been closing it all down for a couple months now. We bought the front lot that was a cornfield then later bought all the rest. A garage went up with the office inside it. Later we added an office trailer and attached them. We later started doing buy here, pay here for 10 years. That was a very successful but very stressful time. In those 10 years, We repo'd 565 vehicles and well over 200 court cases for payments. It wasn't always easy, safe or fun but it made us a living and the opportunity to enjoy each other's company. We sold nearly 3000 vehicles over the years. Matthew was one when we started. He was raised there and spent many many hours there and a lot of long days into the night. As I pursued another job, Jeff stayed and Matthew grew into the partnership with the company taking over a lead role as well. Matthew eventually left for another job, I retired from my job and returned the last few years again. We now have Grandbabies, are blessed to have Matthew and his family close by to enjoy as well. More time now to travel around and enjoy each other. We want to Thank anyone who helped our business out in any way. 1986-2023.
