One Leaves, One Gets Love

The ‘69 Ghia is officially heading home -running smooth, shining bright, and full of attitude. Always a good day when a VW gets to go back to its owner.

Meanwhile in bay 2 the ‘63 Single Cab is getting a set of taillights installed.

Air-cooled life is all about progress-big jobs, small jobs, and everything in between. Both of these classics are one step closer to more miles and more memories.

Busy morning in the shop - two classics, two totally different personalities.

On Lift #1: 356 Speedster getting brake work. Simple, elegant, and somehow still judging us while we torque everything to spec.

In Bay #2: a fuel injected Super Beetle getting new seals. Vacuum leaks, brittle rubber, and a cold-start attitude that says “ I haven’t been happy since 1979.”

“Back From the Brink” - 1973 Super Beetle Revival

There’s nothing like watching a vintage VW wake up after decades of silence.
This ‘73 rolled into the shop tired and barely hanging on…but today, she breathed again.

Fresh fuel lines, a cleaned up engine bay, new ignition components, and a whole lot of patience - and that first crank reminded us why we love these cars.
That unmistakable air-cooled rumble? Music.

Every Super Beetle has a story, and this one’s just starting its next chapter.

Today’s guest: a fuel-injected Super Beetle that woke up and chose chaos.
Cold start? Yes. Idle? Optional. Fuel Pressure? Somewhere between “maybe” and “absolutely not.”

But that’s the magic of vintage VWs. We will be sorting out possible clogged injectors, vacuum leaks, and a pump that’s probably been on vacation since 1981.

By the end of it, this Super Beetle will be purring like it rolled off the showroom floor.

When you’re restoring a classic VW the small details make the biggest difference. We just finished setting the ride height onto his new rims on this ‘72 Super Beetle. Now it’s got the perfect nose stance without the nose-high look. It’s not just about looks; it’s about making every inch count.
