We got a call for a water leak and during the initial inspection we suspected bad fittings or possibly a cracked tank. After further inspection, we found corrosive material inside the tank that had completely eaten through the pressure valve neck.

Unfortunately, the customer did not have a filtration system installed, and the damage was severe enough that it could not be welded or repaired. The hardest part? We had just replaced this water heater back in November 2025.

Water quality and proper filtration matter more than many RV owners realize. Routine inspections and preventative maintenance can save you from costly repairs down the road.
