**One Year Without Chris**

Today marks one year since we lost Chris.

It's hard to believe an entire year has passed. Some days it feels like it happened yesterday, and other days it feels like we've spent a lifetime learning how to move forward without him.

Chris wasn't just one of the owner's of LP Tree Service. He was the heart behind it. He built up this company through hard work, long days, dedication to customers, and a genuine love for helping people. More importantly, he built relationships. Many of our customers became friends, and many of those friendships continue to support us today.

A year ago, we weren't sure what the future would look like. Chris had always been the person everyone turned to. His knowledge, leadership, and steady presence seemed impossible to replace.

But if there's one thing Chris taught us, it's to keep showing up, keep working hard, and keep taking care of people. Those values continue to guide LP Tree Service every single day.

We are incredibly grateful to our customers, friends, family, and community for the support you've shown over the past year. Your kindness, prayers, referrals, and encouragement have helped carry us through some very difficult days.

While we miss Chris more than words can express, his legacy lives on in every job completed, every customer served, and every lesson he passed down.

Thank you for helping us keep his vision alive.

**Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.**

Think they would be making that pass if they knew what was below the surface? Barricaded from both directions heavily and yet its traffic as usual including a semi without his trailer. YIKES pay attention everyone, and as usual try to have a great day, if your reading this your still here which means it could have been worse.

Is now a bad time to mention we have mulch for sale?

In all seriousness, stay safe! 🌪

What a wonderful way to start the day. 3 down and multiple to go! Family is safe and could have been worse. Always remember on days like these to stay safe, look up, and remember, we are only a phone call away if or when it goes bad! Having been around since 1958 and family owned since the beginning, there is not alot we havent seen.

🌳Tree Care Tip of the Day!🌳

Here at LP Tree Service, we believe that healthy trees lead to a beautiful yard! Regular tree care maintenance can prevent costly damage down the road.

Here are 3 tips from your oldest, LOCAL, family owned tree care company in Janesville.

1. Prune seasonally: Proper pruning helps maintain tree health and encourages new growth.

2. Water wisely: Ensure your trees have enough water, especially during dry spells.

3. Mulch and protect: Using mulch helps retain moisture and protect roots. Trees are meant to live in a forest, not a manicured front lawn. Natural mulch helps give them the nutrients they need to thrive.
Did I mention we sell all natural, triple ground mulch, with a natural brown color? No dies, no pallets or other treated lumber from jobsites. Just your local urban forest going back to the community. Mulch should be available for delivery in a few weeks.

Thanks for reading everyone. Have a fantastic Day!

Today would have been Chris’s birthday. The first one we celebrate without him here with us. 💚

For those who knew him through LP Tree Service, you know it was never just a business to him. It was family, hard work, early mornings, dirty boots, laughter on job sites, and taking pride in serving this community alongside his son, Jon Ranum, daughter Nikki Ranum, and the rest of the crew.

Chris Ranum believed in showing up, helping people, and doing the job the right way- even when no one was watching. His legacy lives on in every crew member, every customer relationship, and every tree we care for today.

On his birthday in heaven, we’d love to hear from you.

👉 If you have a memory, a story, a funny job site moment, or a photo with Chris, please share it in the comments. Your stories help keep his spirit alive and remind us how many lives he touched.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Chris. 🎂

We carry you with us in every climb, every cut, and every day we keep your legacy growing. 🌳💚
