Burning up the Dyno!
YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS #BOOM #UCC #stainlessdiesel
Another before and after. 1972 C-10, available for sale.
Started paint on the Yellow Daytona Charger today. As you see, the yellow in the can was slightly off hue! LOL It was way too light and green. I tinted it around to an acceptable match and started spraying. Trying out PPG's 4000 clear for the first time to see if I like it or not.

We made! Day 1 at Hot Rod Power Tour!
The 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer hits Ebay this week
68 GTO Convertible.
Limu Emu and Doug! LMAO
Guess who has one right here?
This week's #CorpseoftheWeek! 😎 #MoparOrNoCar #GraveyardCarz #Mopar4Life #MoparNation #Mopar #MuscleCar #MotortrendTV
Meanwhile, Doug is keeping the wheels turning at the shop last week while the rest of us were at the lake, getting ready for Memorial Day. Thanks Doug!
Near my home town.
A used car dealership and more than 20 cars were destroyed after an 'inferno' tore through an HBO set in Ulster County, officials and the owner said.
This is the GTO I mentioned last week. It's now here on the lot. It was in storage since 2008!! Original owner family since new. It's our job to get it all back up and running again and sell it.
Another project getting close to wrapping up. A couple of small details and this one will be ready to go!
I have a customer bringing me his 1968 GTO Convertible next weekend. It has been in storage for many years. We have been asked to get it back up and running and do some small maintenance things to get it back roadworthy and to sell it for him. Interesting thing is, this car was originally purchased new by his father, so the car has been in the same family since brand new. Looks to be super clean and was even pictured on a magazine cover a couple times years ago. Interested in seeing it in person.
Test drive time.
Welcome back, beautiful! It's been almost a year since this one was delivered to it's new owner. He brought it back to me to touch up some of my less than perfect paint work on a front fender and to go over it all, just to make sure all is good for the summer. She's a beaut!
Before and after.
Hood is on, wipers are fixed. Getting really close to it's first drive down the road in over 25 years!!
Darn Facebook Marketplace! Suckered me in.
This week in the shop. Lots of reassembly that you cannot see in pictures. The Roadrunner engine had it's new MoPar Purple camshaft "run in". That car is now on all fours, runs, drives and stops around the lot. Still some final hookups to do and some parts to come in. The Copper C-10 paint work is now complete. Getting ready to install the cab in this picture. As of this writing, the truck body is back together. It should be up and running Monday. A few little things left with it as well and a few parts still on their way.
Paint looks cool in the can. On closer inspection, the tints used to make up the color may have been a little old?? Glad I was not trying to use it to match a late model car!
Real time action shots here! Clearcoat now done. Bed is complete now except for bedliner. Cab is next, hopefully Monday, right Dougie?
1972 Chevy C-10 Copper Poly Metallic. Base coat is on the bed and flashing off. Poor hiding color. Took 4 coats and then 2 diagonal drop coats to straighten out the metal flake. Not a color for the inexperienced painter! Original GM color for this truck. You don't see it often.
some behind the scenes photos from the first and second Smokey and the Bandit films.
Man! Look at THAT! Getting so close.
Preliminary fit check, just to see.
71 Roadrunner. Backordered stuff is still showing up here and there. Had enough come in now to be able to install the dash. Brakes and lines are buttoned up under the hood now. Bumpers are on. I think we are ready for engine and suspension installation! It's getting really close.
Last week, we ran in the new camshaft in the 396 engine in the 72 C-10. Sorry my phone takes terrible audio. Engine was run for 25 minutes at 2500 - 3000 RPM's with specific oil and Zinx additive to properly break in the modified camshaft installed. Engine is all fully re-machined and all new parts installed. Jayson or I do the assembly right here. As you see in the pic, truck is now equipped with Hooker headers, a 700R4 overdtrive transmission, Hooker dual exhaust. We ran the engine in using a carburetor, but the Holley Sniper fuel injection system is now installed, awaiting the body to be painted and assembled.
70 GTO Ram Air III 4 speed car - today's continuing tear down and prep for new sheetmetal panels. Gotta get worse before they can get better! Car is getting a new roof, new roof braces, new package shelf, new lower windshield track, new single piece floor pan, new quarter panels and outer wheel housings. The original engine is in the car, rebuilt by the previous owner, but never run. As you see, all the ram air induction parts are still in place on the bottom of the hood. Car even has its original 8 track player. Its a shame the owner let the vinyl top go bad and ignore it so long.
.........And so it begins! 1970 Pontiac GTO Ram Air III with 4 speed. Triple black, A/C and factory 8 track player. As you see, the vinyl top went bad and the prior owner did nothing. Car is otherwise extremely solid and very original. Had t start on something else as the last few back ordered parts trickle in for the RoadRunner and the 72 big block C-10 is being readied for paint.
Amazing Road in Chile.
Pictures In History
LMAO. Excellent show, BTW.
My 73 corvette before I restored it
Headed to the BBQ shack for lunch on a perfect afternoon with the 73 Vette!
Progress on the copper colored C10. Doug sanding away at it.
Waiting on upholstery installation and some heater box parts.
For those curious.... this one is almost done, I had to wait in line a couple weeks for the transmission shop to take a look at it. It goes Monday. Hopefully nothing serious. .
