This Corvette is now sold and heading to France in a couple weeks! Oui!
I listed a 68 Camaro project car on Marketplace today. My phone has been dinging more than the doorbell at the new Chick Fil A today.
Frame cleanup and lift kit installation
Then, in the spray booth, we have Bubba's truck. This has been -by far- the most expensive build we have undertaken, and it was for one of my employees! He told me I had to do it or he'd quit. He has had endless, unlimited funds to pour into it, so who am I to argue? He wanted it kept a secret, not sure why, really, being the true Diva that he is about things. Just figured I'd share a couple pics of the black clearcoat I applied today during the storm.
Now, those of you that know Bubba personally....... how bad an ass-whoppin do you think I just handed him!! LMAO.
Actually we've been piecing this old truck together out of used odds and ends and working on it once in a while between other stuff. I am glad to help. There is none better. Appreciate you Bub.
Then this GTO is being massaged by Doug in the end bay. Pretty close to pulling it off the frame and painting the body. Maybe next week. Pretty sure this is the last go around with the sanding block.
While the Mustang is in one bay, Bub started on another 85 Chevy for me. I may actually drive this one for a bit. We'll see.
New quarter panel installed. Jay tig welded the seam under the louver opening and wen to the factory joint from there back. Almost no filler needed this way. It is all metal finished.
For anyone interested, the Bullitt 68 Mustang Fastback is getting close to going across the auction block here in about 15 - 20 minutes. It is lot 150, and they are on 146 now.
Progressing along and starting to look like a Mustang again. Pre-fitting all the exterior panels and setting gaps before welding it all.
We are having to install as much of the factory structure as possible before cutting and modifying it to fit in all the aftermarket upgrades. The mini tub kit requires the rear rails to be cut and modified and then the inner wheelhouses changed.
The engine and transmission for the 65 Mustang Shelby tribute car we are building is being supplied by TD Motion in Florida. It is a brand new Ford Coyote 5.0 liter, 460 HP plant backed up with a 5 speed TKO transmission.

1969 Chevelle SS
1968 GTO Convertible
For sale is a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 hardtop. I bought the car already painted, but otherwise in boxes. It had been untouched since 2006 until I took over the project this past fall. The engine in the car is the correct year, but it not original to the body.
For those interested in the old car market, there is financing available.
1970 Chevelle SS396 vs 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 - Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race
What another fantastic match-up! This week is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 and a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30. 1970 was a great year for both the Chevelle and ...
Lost art. Picture is of Jay removing a quarter panel on the 65 Mustang Fastback that had been replaced a LONG time ago. It appears the car was hit in the back when it would have been almost new. At the time, the bodyman installed a used quarter panel at the upper break line and attached it by stitch brazing the seam and then using lead for the filler. They did a great job with it, but rust took over the lower portion making replacement now 40 years later necessary.
We will be installing new quarter panels with new outer wheel housings and inner mini tubs from Detroit Speed , which will then make room for the new 9" rear end housing and complete suspension system from TCI Engineering .
We are currently awaiting a truckload of essential parts from Kentucky Mustang Automotive, my favorite Mustang parts supplier.
Muscle Car Jr Inc
Muscle Car Jr Inc vintage ad of the year! 1970 that is !!. happy new year enjoy!
69 Chevelle is almost done. Working on detailing and a few small things.
Was given some old slides over the Christmas break and in the stack were a couple of my 1970 GTO convertible. I bought this car in about 1982 and drove it my senior year in high school. I fixed i and painted it, of course, but these are the only pics I have of it. They were the day I bought it and drove it home from Englishtown, NJ in a snow storm! #oldscool
70 GTO Ram Air 3 car is now in primer! A few days hand block sanding and rechecking everything and this one will be ready for it's new jet black paint in early 2020.
Out with the old frame, in with the newly refurbished one. In between I undercoated the entire underbody. The new frame has already had the brakes replaced, new brake lines, was totally sandblasted and painted, has several front suspension parts replaced, new tires (Radial too), and now has the rebuilt engine mounted in it. Also has a new clutch, new hydraulic clutch slave and master cylinder. Once I bolt the body down completely tomorrow, I can finish things up, like the interior and engine bay wiring. Should be running my Christmas!
New shoes! Getting close to putting the body on the TR6.
Got the TR6 engine back from the machine shop, finally. Some epoxy primer followed by some red urethane. Should really show up well in the engine bay. Also topcoated the frame with satin black Chassis Saver today too. Hope to marry them together tomorrow sometime. We'll see how it goes.
Cleaning up and getting ready for the new one piece floorpan.
Sandblasting the 65 Mustang Shelby tribute car. Back portion is being all replaced, so I did not spend a bunch of time back there. Rotisserie rolls on the ground to any angle, or when set up in the shop in its casters, you can roll it in place.
Vinyl top is done now. Thanks Randy!
Starting the next project. Thus is a 1965 Mustang fastback mounted on my rotisserie. I will be sandblasting tomorrow. This car is being done for a customer to his specs. It is getting a full suspension treatment from TCI, and the engine is a brand new Ford Motorsports 5.0 liter Coyote , coupled to a brand new TKO 5 speed and brand new 9" TruTrack rear. Car will be a GT 350 Shelby Tribute, but with far superior drivability.
Took advantage of us celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, so that left today with no one around, no phone calls and nobody at the shop. I Sanded and polished all day. Pics do not do it any justice. Car looked OK as it came from the spray booth, but it really pops now.
The big block Chevelle is getting really close to being done. We are down to a really short list now.
Bless this child!
1969 Chevy 396 all back together and running on engine stand to break in the new camshaft. My phone mic does not like the flowmaster mufflers! Not sure if you can tell the headers are glowing red
61 Ford F100 Unibody is now mobile. Just waiting on the front bumper to get painted and some upholstery work. Also awaiting specialty shift linkage to make the late model Ford overdrive transmission work.
TR6 dash. Aftermarket small gauges came in. I cleaned and painted the trim rings on the original speedo and tach an also repainted the indicator needles. New wood dashboard too.
I got the headlights and taillight wiring run today. I do the dash next week when my knees recover lol
61 F100 Unibody Vintage Air installed, as well as Classic Instruments cluster.
69 Chevelle paint work today
Got a few minutes in before the rain today to sandblast the 1970 GTO firewall, inner dash, rockers and toe boards. Notice all the new floors are now in place. This car had the roof rust out from a failed vinyl top that held moisture. Once there were holes, the carpet got wet and killed the floor pans. Getting really close to being able to pain the body shell on this one. It is a black on black 4 speed car, Ram Air 3.
Progress on the 1961 F100. Almost ready to run the engine in it's new home. Parts are still straggling in here and there, slowing progress.
Satin black tail panel, because - Triumph!
TR6 reassembly moving along a little today.
69 Chevelle 396 car almost ready for the paint work on the new quarter panels. Pretty close
