Roof is done. Working my way down. Didn't want to risk leaning into the sides while painting the roof. It is LONG and hard to reach. I made Javier spray most of it, even though he's shorter than me LOL.

Finally got all the surface rust off the roof, so we'll paint it today to get it sealed up and then I'll work my way down.

Patch panels in and roof stripped. Body work next. Windows and weatherstrips removed for paintwork and replacement with new parts. Not looking forward to painting the roof.

Well, we finally got it done!

Leno’s Law has officially been signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m incredibly grateful to Senator Dave Cortese and Senator Shannon Grove for working together to get this across the finish line.

This is a big day for California’s car community. We’re preserving a piece of automotive history while recognizing that a collector car isn’t the same thing as a daily driver.

If you can get a Democrat and a Republican into the same garage, eventually something’s going to start!

Thanks to everyone who supported this effort along the way. Now let’s go enjoy some old cars.

1974 GTO. All original with the exception of the "day two" upgrades people did back then. Cragars, traction bars, H 50's. Original paint, engine, 4 speed and interior.

It's like someone my age went off to college, parked this car and never came back to it!
