This place deserves negative starts. My husband took his Type R -track ready car for two new tires due to getting a flat since it was the closest service area, he had to leave the car their so they could order the tires and see if everything else was okay with the car. He stopped in to check on the car the following day they told him it’s not ready. The next day he calls and it’s still not ready. The car was there for 5 days. The service advisor had no knowledge about cars at all when we called several times to get information. First she told us the suspension was messed up then turned out to be the drive shaft. Finally when the car was ready, we took the hour drive to get it after confirming what time we would be there our service advisor stepped out an no one else would help us, and was gone for about an hour and a half. When she got back she got the car and the tech to go for a test ride, when he got into the car noticed the dash cam was unplugged and the visors were down to block the footage as well. We then went inside to speak with the service manager, he came out to look and address the issue but most of the footage was deleted out of the camera. The tech said well I took it to Edison and it was fine. Meanwhile 50+ miles were added to the odometer. We went back Inside and they tried to charge us for the part that was covered under warranty which they had to order but then let us take the car home with a broken drive shaft. When we got home we took the SIM card out of the camera and plugged it into our laptop, where we found footage of 5 techs taking out the car going over 80MPH, several videos were still on the camera where you could hear the techs talking, one where one tech was teaching another tech how to drive stick, one where he said he would have ran the red light but noticed a cop and another saying “You took a car out with a camera, I would never do that.” When we got the car back it had grease all over the button you push to put the car in comfort mode or R+ mode as well as all over the shift k**b and steering wheel, as well as a nice little slice on the steering wheel. Then we looked at the GPS tracker which all of the routes were deleted, except one where they drove through a cemetery, off road ways. Also lie after lie was told when we called to get updates on the car, first they said the tires weren’t on yet and that the car still needed to be test drove but when logged into the GPS it was clearly drove during the time they said the tires still weren’t on the car. So now 5 different techs took out our car for a joy ride breaking the drive shaft and now my second gear is grinding non stop but the service keeps saying nothing is wrong with the car. Now the value of the car has dropped significantly from damage the service techs have caused. On top of that they falsified documents which will be brought up to Honda Corporate.
I would say ALEX is a phenomenal asset to your company. He has great customers service. He knows what it is all about to give 100% customer satisfaction. Now the only downside was it took me 6 hours to drive off the lot with my new car. They said it was busy and there was only 2 financial managers. Which I understand but 6 hours was just outrageous. Also they couldn’t offer me the maintenance like oil change etc because they said the deal I had was so cheap. They made me sign a document saying I refused to purchase it for $45 . It’s just unfair. A good car deal shouldn’t take that away from the customer.

We were misinformed and ultimately misled by staff at Hillside Honda (Queens, NY) on many levels. We have filed a complaint with Honda Automotive Customer Service and will continue to escalate regarding deceptive practices and intent to mislead customers. We hope to come to a resolution.
