After a lot of thought and discussion with my family, I’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily pause operations of Wayside Auto Rescue as we prepare to move from Florida to Southeastern Connecticut for a new job opportunity and a better future for my family.
I want to be very clear: this is not a permanent closure.
The plan is to get settled in Connecticut, focus on this new chapter, and when the time is right, either reopen Wayside Auto Rescue or continue building the company in Southeastern Connecticut. This business means too much to me to walk away from it forever.
Before I leave, I want to sincerely thank every single customer who trusted me. Whether I came out for a dead battery, lockout, flat tire, fuel delivery, or simply answered questions over the phone, your support meant the world to me.
When I started Wayside Auto Rescue, I wasn’t a large company with multiple trucks and employees. I was one guy with a goal of helping people and providing honest, dependable roadside assistance. Every phone call, referral, review, Facebook share, and recommendation helped keep this dream alive.
To be honest, this decision is emotional for me. Jacksonville welcomed me when I was trying to build something from the ground up. I’ve met some incredible people, helped a lot of motorists, and learned lessons that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Leaving behind the customers and relationships I’ve built here is one of the hardest parts of this move.
For any customers who purchased batteries through Wayside Auto Rescue, please know that I will continue to stand behind those warranties. The warranties were issued through my company, and I take that responsibility seriously. Even after the move, I will work with customers individually to find a solution if a warranty issue arises. I may not have all the answers today, but I promise that I will do everything I can to make things right and honor my commitment to you.
This business has taught me so much about perseverance, customer service, and what it means to serve a community. There were days when the phone wouldn’t ring, days when I questioned whether I could make it work, and days when I was reminded exactly why I started. Through all of it, your support kept me moving forward.
While this chapter in Florida is coming to a pause, I truly believe it is only a pause. My goal is to bring the same level of service, honesty, and dedication to Southeastern Connecticut when the time is right.
Thank you for supporting a local small business.
Thank you for trusting me with your vehicles.
Thank you for believing in Wayside Auto Rescue.
I appreciate every one of you more than I can put into words, and I hope this isn’t goodbye—just “see you later.”
Stay safe, and hopefully we’ll meet again down the road.
