Been so focused on where I’m going, I almost forgot to give myself credit for how far I’ve already come.

I dreamed about working in this industry. I dreamed about building something of my own. I dreamed about doing things differently.

Now I get to walk into my own shop every day and build the exact kind of automotive business I always wished existed.

There’s still a hell of a lot I want to accomplish, and some days the pressure of what’s next gets LOUD. But every once in a while, I need to look around and remember:

I’m already living a life a younger version of me would think was pretty fu***ng cool. 👑🔧

I’ve stayed quiet about a lot.

Not because I didn’t have anything to say but because I’ve been busy building a business, protecting my reputation, taking care of my customers, and navigating an industry that still doesn’t always know what to do with women who refuse to stay in their “place.”

But I think it’s time for an honesty hour. 👑

We’re going to talk about the bias women face in male-dominated industries.
The double standards.
The egos.
The assumptions about what we know, and what we couldn’t possibly know.
What happens when you’re the woman signing the checks but someone still thinks they’re the authority in the room.

And yes… we’re going to talk about what happens when you remove someone from your business who no longer meets your standards, and suddenly they have a whole lot to say about your reputation.

I’ve learned some expensive lessons building Clutch Queen.

As temperatures eventually start to drop, belts and hoses can expose wear that wasn’t obvious during the summer heat. Cracks, soft spots, swelling, leaks, or worn belts might seem minor… until one leaves you sitting on the side of the road.
