There is a button sitting right by your gear shifter that many Lexus hybrid owners have never pressed. EV Mode.

Spencer from our technology team gets asked about it constantly, so he made this. Flip it on and your hybrid battery takes the lead at low speeds or under light acceleration. A small EV icon shows up on the dash to confirm it. Think parking garages, quiet streets, that slow roll through the neighborhood before the sun is fully up.

And if your screen ever reads "EV Mode Unavailable, Hybrid Battery Low," relax. Drive a while, the battery replenishes, the button comes back.

Palomino does something to the Lexus LX700 that photos rarely capture. Spend twenty seconds inside this Lexus LX700 and you will understand.

The leather carries light instead of swallowing it, the second row feels like it was measured for adults, and the cargo floor still swallows a weekend without complaint. It is a full size luxury SUV that reads warm rather than corporate.

Look at how the roofline falls into the rear quarter, how the spindle grille anchors the front, how the dark F SPORT wheels give the whole profile its stance. The dog gets an upgrade too.

Marissa from our technology team took us through the genuine accessories available for the Lexus TX, and she filmed the entire walkthrough herself. The all weather cargo mat is the workhorse, built for wet coolers, sandy towels and everything a Jacksonville weekend involves. The roof cargo carrier buys back the space your third row just took. And then there is the puppy ramp with a soft folding bed, because your co pilot deserves a comfortable ride to the coast.

Spencer Baron is a Lexus Technology Specialist at Lexus of Orange Park, and for the past year he has been one of the team who sets up almost every new Lexus before it leaves our lot.

We sat him down and asked what most owners miss. His answer was Proactive Driving Assist, a feature plenty of drivers own and never think about. He also named the ES 350 as the model with the sharpest technology right now, and salted caramel as the correct ice cream flavor.

Here is the part worth knowing. You do not need to be buying anything to see him. If your Lexus app will not pair, if Apple CarPlay keeps dropping, or if you have quietly wondered about a button for two years, come ask.
