This 2001 CRV came in with some running/stuttering issues. We checked the basics on the list first. Good compression, and fuel pressure was perfect. Good ignition system etc. We did notice that the injector connectors were not holding on properly, so we replaced all 4.

Watching live data on a scanner, we saw fuel trims were compensating a lot. We found out that a set of cheap fake fuel injectors were installed at some point. Luckily, the owner still had the original Honda injectors. We tested them on our machine and found that they were perfect. Installed them back on, and cleared everything up.

In our experience, it is very rare that we see a stock Honda fuel injector from the 90s/2000s go bad unless there was a significant amount of contamination ran through the system. However, if you suspect injectors, a set of used OEM injectors will do better than these fake ones.

"Money Shift" is back on the road 🫡

A 2-3-2 mis shift led to catastrophic damage for this TL-S at 217k miles. It was a shame that it happened, but honestly this car deserved every bit of love it recieved in this process.

JDM low mileage J35A RL engine that came from Texas JDM. We got right to work on clean up and tear down. All the way down to the oil pump rotor, it was about as clean as you could ask for inside.

Every gasket, seal, belt and hose was replaced. Everything re-sealed. Subframe cleaned. Transmission cleaned. Engine bay and undercarriage cleaned. We noticed the cats were clogged up, so we went with RV6 high flow cats.

Back in July we dyno tuned this car after adding a 3.7 intake/throttle body and ATLP J-Pipe(stock exhaust from j-pipe back). In July it put down 263hp 223tq. This time around it picked up an average 10-15 horsepower & torque across the board. Leaving now with 280 peak horsepower & 234 peak torque on 93 octane.

"Frank" the van who belongs to a good client of ours got some attention. Came in with some misfires and a few other miscellaneous problems. We pulled the coils out to find a few burnt, and also found that there were 2 different sets of spark plugs in it. A new set of spark plugs and 8 new coil packs and it's running smooth again 👍
