A final update on the on the 68'... Finished up seat belts, custom seat brackets with sliders, finished all electrical and bought/installed the correct Edelbrock 7161 RPM intake manifold (large oval port heads) for the built 454 roller motor. Unfortunately you can't win them all and it still will not start. I suspect a roller cam clearance issue. Theres so much custom work done to the motor that it really needs to go to a machine shop for a full picture of whats going on. I just went ahead and decided to pull the ad and do an LS swap on the truck at a later date. I'll do something else with the 454 once it's fixed and the th400 will most likely go behind my 12v cummins drag truck build I'm hoping to start later this year. So for now, that's a wrap on the 68 GMC. Shame the 454 didn't work out but the truck itself came out super nice. Will update again in a few months when I'm not so busy and have time to finish this build.
