Update on the Autocross for the year.

Since the dragstrip is off the list I am going need some other ideas on a place to go. I have talked to the fairgrounds and they are booked for the year. I have talked to the ballfield and they dont have any free weekends. I need some people to scout out areas and help me find a spot.

Anywhere with an open parking lot will work.

If you know of a place can you contact the owner and have them contact me.

So they are having this event this Saturday at the dragstrip. I need you guys to show up and help these guys out. Find out who is doing the autocross and see if they need any help and if we can join them. I am gonna be at the truck autocross in bowling green or I would be there.

Update. Went and got all of the stuff from the dragstrip from our very destroyed building. They moved the building and then a storm blew the building apart....

Had someone ask in lexington about using the old airport and they said no.

Stopped by the old movie theater at the ballpark exit and didn't see any signs for anyone to contact. Would be a perfect place if I could get in touch with the owner.

If anyone has any other suggestions on a place let me know.

I am going to get a little enclosed trailer to put all of the equipment in.

So just to bring everyone up to speed on the autocross events this year.

I am working on it. We are gonna need some people to help out. One of out founders has to bow out due to moving cities.

We might be in a different location thise year and on a different day of the week.

Hub City Eurocars is doing a Tail of the Dragon rally late this October 24-27 if anyone is interested. They're also helping raise funds for the Hurricane victims in TN and NC.

Unfortunately there won't be a last autocross of the season. There will not be an event on October 13. The Dragway has confirmed it's an insurance issue where we aren't covered while at their facility. They have said next year we will revisit and see how much it will cost us to run there, but that the rest of the year isn't going to happen. I hate to let everyone down, but it is what it is. Hopefully we will know more in the spring.

Due to multiple factors, todays Autocross is unfortunately canceled. We will try to make up an event if possible or make the last one on October 13 a big one unless the track is still unable to be used by then. We'll keep you up to date as soon as we know more.

We have just found out that not only is the new top parking lot being paved but so is the bottom lot! So we're going to have to cancel this months event (August 18th) while the paving is finished. A bummer I know, but NEW PAVEMENT!! The Jackson Dragway is making some major improvements, can't wait to see it!
