This could have been a DIY or a professional shop who knows, but by the many other things I noticed just by accident I pray it wasnt a shop! However I would not be surprised. I see it more and more. Mobile guys and shade trees that grab some tools from Harbor Freight and get on YouTube and all of a sudden they are professionals. Just do your research folks. Get references from other people dont trust what everyone says. You think tou are saving money, but often you spend way more in time and labor just to end up taking it to a professional to fix correctly. More than just losing money you could have a situation like this. Had I not accidentally seen this nut that was about to fall off at any moment this could have been a tragic story. This young man has 2 car seats in his truck and could have lost all steering on any random bump! Just be careful out there and try to avoid being a victim to one of these people that have no business touching people's vehicles.
