As much as i hate to, i have to close Hackberry Raceway .
With no water to the hydrant the rest of the summer, and other things going on, i dont have time to run it anymore.
With that being said , we had a good run , 10 years .
In that time we had some great racing out here. our first trophy race was the Lance Built Nationals ,76 cars in only 3 classes .
Back then we only ran SC Mod , 410 and 360 sprintcars , we had 36 360,s that day .
We have had some of the best drivers in the country out here to race .
The one race that i will always remember was a fund raiser trophy race , The A feature 360 was loaded with talent and the top 2 were Darrin Ryder , Gooch, and Doug Gaut . Darrin just happened to have a lot of friends out here cheering him on , it was the loudest cheering i ever heard out here and Darrin ended up winning that race .
With all the fund raising races we had out here , we raised over $10,000.00 for cancer , the kidney kup and Nebraska medical center for kids . Big thank you to Chris Johnson for setting up all these races up and getting sponsors .
Also thank you Ryan Zimmer , Ryan did most of the track prep on Fridays before a race and was a huge help on Raceday .
I will have some track gear ,parts and sprintcars for sale 2 AFX and one phildo , some custom works and associated parts , wheels and tires . my laps decoder and coax , its in great condition and will read all mylaps transponders , all needs to go as I'm saving up to pay my deductable to get a knee replaced , yes im getting old LOL
