Glad we were able to assist local fire dept’s last night that were responding to a brush fire off a county air strip. Unfortunately a couple units got themselves stuck in the soft runway. Our heavy units were not able to cross the field and we had to resort to the off road units.
We had to make as minimal a footprint as possible to avoid rutting and pitting this runway, we weren’t able to get our winch box dug in as deep as we wanted, so our 12 ton with the spades dug in provided just enough counter weight to pull these units out.
With our winch lines still attached to the 12 ton, we had to pull assist the one rescue truck the entire length of the field as the truck just kept wanting to sink.
Definitely a unique situation we were challenged with, but having the right equipment to do the job safely without further damage is key.
Now time to clean some mud off.

Able to get this truck and trailer out. Rear of trailer picked and swung over off of phone pole, front of the truck winched out of the Pitt it was in. Snow rolled in just to remind us it’s still winter!

This load shifted and turned scary on Halloween last week.
Luckily we were able to salvage what we could and not damage any more of the stainless plates that were all blown apart on pallets and slid forward.
We had to remove 15 pallets, re strap and evenly place back on the trailer. Long afternoon, over just in time for the sun to go down!
