Chris Lum NSX on YouTube! Acura/Honda NSX DIY and modifications YouTube channel Welcome to the Chris Lum NSX page! Thanks for stopping by!

I'll be posting detailed How-to videos & build updates on my YouTube channel for my 1991 NSX. A little about me: I'm a long time Honda/Acura enthusiast. I've worked in the automotive industry for 18+ years in various capacities including the performance aftermarket, OEM aftermarket/reman Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers as well as at the OEM level. While I'm not a professional mechanic, I do enjoy wrench

ing and working on my car. I feel that working on your car gives you intimate knowledge about the inner workings of it and allows you to have a better connection with it. I personally think this takes the driving, and ownership experience overall, to the next level when you know the part you just installed is done correctly or doing something it should (or shouldn't) do. You have faith in your car and have a better idea of what needs improvement and what is solid. As I learn about the NSX, I hope to provide any type of help and knowledge to all of my viewers.

My video is finally out for NSX spec MF10 meaty fitment šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø sorry it took a while. It’s a 30 min video essentially on tires but I wanted to lay all the info out there. There are countless NSXprime posts stating how 235 is hard to fit but that’s about it. I wanted to get into the reasons of why it’s hard to fit, what modifications/compromises you will have to make to run them and, often overlooked in discussions but just as important, what rear size options are available. While my specific setup may not be what you run, my hope is that the research, thought processes and visuals provided will help you choose the right size for your setup based on your goals.

āš ļøNowāš ļø 2026 has been challenging on many levels. The NSX gods are angry at me for thinking about other cars. 2nd slide is a nasty puncture but if you inspect the first image closely, there’s more going on than that. Will update on that one later…

Been in a bit of a funk with the NSX lately (thanks for the unbelievable response on fb). I have a lot to think about but the car is still here. I still have parts on order and stuff that needs fixing! Videos will be back soon.

Mugen Monday specs: Neo NSX spec MF10 17x8.5 +40 235/40/17 CR-S and 18x10.5 +45 295/35/18 CR-S. Rear with a 3mm spacer f...

Almost pulled the trigger on an advance hood. Yes it would have needed custom work to fit my 02 headlights but my goal has always been to get the cookie cutter mods out of my system first, then do custom/unique mods as the 2nd iteration. Can’t fault the R hood look too much though, it’s a good look, just very common. Ultimately I passed on the hood so I can focus on other priorities but it’s still on my radar as a possibility. NSX definitely needs more aftermarket hood options šŸ¤”

Finally got around to filming a spark plug video! This one is easier than you think. Of course it’s all about the tools!...

Finally got around to filming a spark plug video! This one is easier than you think. Of course it’s all about the tools! I have some critical tool recommendations. Check out the links to all the tools in the video description. This job is also very nice to do with the service blanket featured in this video. There’s a ton of stuff you will want to lay out on your trunk and their service blanket will protect your car.

I give this DIY a difficulty rating of: 3.25 out of 10.
Only a few hand tools are needed but care needs to be exercised to avoid stripping threads or if you encounter a seized spark plug. The hardest part is probably unclipping the coil packs, which is not very hard to do. This can be a 5 out of 10 if you’ve never done spark plugs before, but overall, it’s not hard if you follow the instructions carefully. The right tools will go A LONG way in making sure you have a painless time.

*Difficulty Rating Scale Explanation: I rate my DIYs on a scale of 1-10. 1 requiring minimal effort and little to no tools, such as installing wiper blades replacements. 10 requiring extensive time/effort and requiring many special tools, such as assembling an engine or transmission.
