🔧 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan – Air Intake Resonator Replacement

During a routine oil change and general engine bay inspection, we noticed that one of the mounting tabs on the air intake resonator was broken.

We brought it to the customer’s attention, and they decided to have the resonator replaced. The damaged unit was removed and the replacement was installed, with the intake assembly checked for proper fitment and secure mounting.

A simple repair, but a good example of why routine inspections matter—small issues can be caught early before they lead to additional movement, vibration, or damage to surrounding components.

✅ Air intake resonator replaced
✅ Fitment and mounting verified

Routine maintenance is also an opportunity to catch problems before they become bigger repairs.

Our service truck will be down for a couple of days while we pull the dash and HVAC assembly to complete a full A/C system replacement.

The new A/C system will include the compressor, condenser, evaporator, liquid line, suction and discharge lines, or***ce tube, and R12 to R134A service port adapters. Once everything is installed, the system will be vacuumed and properly charged with refrigerant.

While the dash is out, we’ll also replace the heater core and all HVAC actuators. We’ll take the opportunity to clean up and properly organize the under dash wiring that the previous owner installed for the auxiliary switches.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while we get the truck repaired and ready to return to service.

The magnets are in and installed on one of our service trucks. We are thinking about designing a website next to help our clients get their requests in easier and quicker.

Completed a Ford 4.6L spark plug thread repair on cylinder #4 after finding the threads damaged/stripped.

This repair was done using the proper in-vehicle thread insert repair kit & procedure. The spark plug bore was inspected, cleaned, repaired with the proper thread insert, secured with red Loctite, and the spark plug was torqued to specification. All metal shavings/debris inside the cylinder were blown out, and the engine was manually rotated afterward to confirm there was no binding, interference, or abnormal resistance.

The borescope pictures are a little difficult to see clearly, but the repair procedure was followed to a T from start to finish. Will add better pictures once we pull them from the borescopes SD card.
