Optimist Club Fly in Breakfast at Iowa City Airport this morning.
About 1/3 of the visitors as compared to last year.
The Porsche Club was in force, the Iowa City British car club was a bit weak in attendance. There was a nice black 2+2 Jaguar, a couple Healey 3000, an Italian made Alfa Romeo, etc.
There were no Vintage American cars in the show this year.
The 2 boys getting a ride around the parking lot in the Vintage Aeroplane was cool. Driven by a remoted control track robot.

A great guy that I have known for over 20 years,
John Tibben #60 has written a book about his life as a motorcycle racer/rider/wrench & his life as an airplane pilot & wrench.
John had an AMA National Plate number from 1958-1972,
a very long run as a top tier racer.
See him at Davenport booth AA18 selling his new book !!!!
The other guy in the pic was a great Drag racer & Bonneville racer.
Both from eastern Iowa !

Leo Payne ,Drag & Bonneville Racer with
#60 John Tibben & his HD KR setup as full fairing road racer. John had #60 national pro number from 1959-1971. John also raced Harley Sprints & XR750.
Dirt & road racing, John's amatuer number before going pro was 50k.
A very long run in pro class.
Both men wrenched in the shop at Wilson's Harley Davidson in Cedar Rapids. This pic may be at Daytona.
Leo from CR & John was from Vinton.

Another Davenport vendor that I have known for many years.
Steve Lemay at Resurrection Cycle Works has done a great job of creating & sourcing parts for the hard to find 1930s 45" Harleys.
He also has been doing other models in recent years.
His new reproduction early Cycleray headlight lenses look nice.
Great guy to deal with.
