April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month.

In Kansas, one out of five crashes are caused by distractions. While everyone is susceptible to distractions, young adults are at high risk of being distracted while driving.

Wearing a seatbelt and airbag deployment combined to help keep the officer in this patrol vehicle alive and with only minor injuries after it rolled multiple times after being "t-boned" by a driver who reported being unable to slow, let alone stop, for a stop sign when her dog jumped from the dash into her lap.
