One of my favorite aspects of a wedding is all of the unique traditions each couple bring to their day.

▪️We have the most widely known tradition of 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.' that many brides today still use, but put a modern twist on. For example, my step-sister asked a handful of her closest gal pals to be her Blue Crew and wear a blue dress of their choosing. 🧵

▪️Did you know there is a southern tradition that claims if a couple buries an unopened bottle of bourbon upside down at the ceremony site one month prior to the wedding, they'll be guaranteed good fortune and no rain(!!) the day of! 🥃

▪️Wedding Cake Pulls are becoming more and more popular once again and stem from the Victorian era. They're an awesome way to include family and friends in your day! 🍰

I think the burying of the bourbon is my favorite wedding day tradition! What's yours?

I’m heartbroken over the loss of my manager, and my friend.

REMEMBERING TED NIPPER

There is a proverb that tells us, “Say not in grief ‘he is no more’ but in thankfulness that he was.”

Ted Nipper’s light was so bright it teetered on blinding. Ted loved big, and if you were lucky enough to be a part of his life there was never any doubt that he cared about you. He wanted to be everyone’s biggest cheerleader, and he believed in people and their goodness to his core. He loved his family, especially his wife, Jonnie, but he extended that love to his work family too. The Love Chevrolet family, along with the entire Love Automotive Group, are heartbroken today at his passing, but we are so thankful that he was who he was.

Ted will be remembered among the Love Automotive Family for his humor, dedication, and work ethic, but mostly, for his heart.

With hearts full of sorrow, but also gratitude for having been lucky enough to know Ted, we humbly ask that you remember his family in the coming days.

Ted, you’ll always be a part of our family.

It’s a privilege to work for Brenden!

Many of you will recognize these familiar faces! Brenden and Carib have been with the Love family since the early 2000s.

Both Brenden and Carib started their career in the Sales Department of Love Nissan, but have been with Chevrolet since December 13th, 2006, when Bob and Chad Halleen acquired the store. Having been here since it’s inception, both Brenden and Carib are at the heart of the Love Chevrolet Family.

Carib now manages the Internet Sales Department.

Brenden has moved through the ranks working as a Finance Manager and Sales Manager, now serving as the General Manager.

For Brenden and Carib, December 13th, 2006 feels like just yesterday, but they’ve been an integral part of growing Love Chevrolet into the local choice for quality vehicles.
