🔧❤️ National Sons and Daughters Day

As we approach National Sons and Daughters Day, take a little time to teach your kids something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

It doesn’t have to be anything complicated. Teach them a skill. Teach them how to use a tool, how to change a tire, do a basic household repair, change the oil in their car, maintain a lawnmower, or even perform basic maintenance on an outboard boat motor. 🚗🚤🌱

Let them get their hands dirty. Let them ask questions. Let them make mistakes while you’re there to guide them.

Because someday, they may not remember every gift you bought them or every place you took them—but they will remember the time you stood beside them and taught them something.

Those little moments become memories.
Those skills become confidence.
And that knowledge gets passed down to the next generation.

This National Sons and Daughters Day, don’t just give them something. Give them a skill they can carry with them for life. ❤️🔧

Teach them. Encourage them. Work beside them. And most importantly, make the memories.

Brand new doesn’t always mean ready to hit the water.

This customer brought their brand-new boat to TC Boat Service for its 20-hour Yamaha service. During our inspection, we discovered that several critical fasteners—including the starter connections, battery connections, and engine mounting hardware to the transom—were not properly tightened. The boat had been rigged by the selling dealership.

Thankfully, these issues were caught before they became a much bigger problem. In this case, the owner rents out their boats, so a failure on the water could have created a serious safety risk and significant liability.

The reality is that mistakes can happen during assembly or rigging. That’s why an independent inspection is one of the best investments you can make—even on a brand-new boat.

At TC Boat Service, we perform a thorough bow-to-stern inspection before you take delivery or head out on the water. We check the critical components that affect your safety and reliability, giving you confidence that your boat is truly ready for your next adventure.

Pre-purchase & new boat inspections starting at just $120.

Don’t assume it’s perfect because it’s new. Let us make sure it’s safe, secure, and ready for the water.
