Funny how time flies by. Top photo was when I was stationed at Ft Lewis Washington. Was the day I headed to Alaska. Took the Nova to the port so it could be sent up by ship. Drove the 1974 Cutlass to Anchorage. March 1988.

Fast Forward to 2024 same Nova. 2026 Nova still putting a smile on my face.
Some people have therapy animals; I have a therapy car.

The trip to Alaska was a blast. 20-year-old me, no GPS, no cell phone, no digital dash with apps, just a map and a CB.

Recently I took a road trip on a motorcycle. Logged 3980 miles in 6 days. The trip went smoothly other than getting super hot (105 degrees) and strong cross winds (sustained 30 & gust of 50 mph)

Pre trip. Before I headed out all the oils were changed. Brake pads replaced. Looked over the bike very good.

I planed back roads as much as possible. This means most of the time I was completely alone and no traffic coming from either direction. My equipment had to work.

If you are planning a trip the last thing you want to do is forget about the vehicle getting you from point A to B.

A small problem on a timed event could change everything.

So if you are taking a road trip make sure you get your vehicle looked at. Do not wait until the day before. Make sure it is at least a week before.

Make sure your memory is full of good times and not the time you spent getting car repaired.

Happy Friday.

As some of you know I recently took my friends ashes to the grand opening of Evel Knievel Museum in Las Vegas. I did this trip on a 2019 Road King Police Version. It is retired and I was never a police officer. LOL. I call it the Blues Machine in reference to the Blue's Brother.

Not going to lie. It kicked my butt. 50 mph cross winds all the way in to Vegas. 105 degree weather. Fires. Tornados and heavy rains.

The bike did great. No issues. Before I left I performed all my maintenance and inspected the heck out of it.

I did this rip alone. 3980 miles round trip. Had to add miles because of the fires. Had to go around. I took some of Rt 66.

My suggestion to you is to take a road trip. Travel the state highways and see this beautiful country with out fight semis and other heavy traffic.

If you do plan on making a road trip call us to make an appointment and get your vehicle checked out. Do not wait until the day before you leave.

Did you know that US 31 goes all the way to lower Alabama then a quick jump to 59 will take you to Gulf Shores.

Yes our roads need fixed. This is not the answer. People rely on transportation to get to and from work. There are other ways.

If you don't know it Marion County wants to increase your wheel Excise Tax to 100 dollars flat fee up to 9K lbs and 240 Over 9k Lbs.
Most all of our customers reside out side of Center Township. We all, regardless of political views already pay enough in taxes. Now they want more. Sales tax increase with inflation, property taxes go up because someone says our homes are worth more than they actually are.
The people that will benefit the most do not even live in Indianapolis.

As you all know I try to keep my eye out on local government.

Now they want more money. More money without actual financials in front of us. It is always simply we need more money.

Tonight is a public meeting and I suggest you go. You can speak for 2 minutes. Please stick to facts of how we have paid enough.

Cars like this fueled my passion. Years ago a car like this would have come from the dealer and went to the race track. If you could buy the car you could race it.
This car is the definition of high tech red neck. Aftermarket AC and it has a 5 speed.
