Richardson Spyder Shop One of my many hobbies is that of Motorcycles and specifically Victories and Can-am Roadsters like Spyders/Rykers. I enjoy working on them and Lighting them up.

Today was CRAZY around the Richardson Spyder Shop!

I say I’m closed but by exception only. Then I keep making exceptions. One of these days I’m going to learn how to stop overextending myself. I feel like I’m doing you all a major disservice.

Life is busy and I’m not getting theough my list efficiently. I truly apologize for those waiting and thank you for your patience!

The Courtneys who are family (water not blood) came up. It’s always great to see them.

Did a rear tire on a 2012 Spyder ST. It tried to kick my butt but we didn’t let it.

Then we did a rear shock riser on a 2021 Ryker Sport. Swapped the stupid meep meep to a much more appropriate HOOOONNNKKK! Installed some hand guard lights, and investigated the light handling front end. More homework to do there. It’s probably one of the more squirrely Rykers I’ve ridden in a while. Nothing obvious and not dangerous but not locked in like my ‘22 Rally. The Sport has Elka Stage 3 and an upgraded sway bar but the previous owner also did a tune on it and the power is crazy with a light feeling front end. Going to need to see what we can do there. Also, oddly the bike says it has 2500 miles on it and the front tires are CRAZY worn. Hmmm….

In the middle of all that a 2013 Spyder RT stopped by for a mirror fix and a new style RT showed up for a tire change and brakes all around. It’s 11:30pm and I’m finally unwinding with all that done.

As always, not enough pictures - too busy working to remember.

Friends and family, please don’t be offended if I say no more. I have to learn that word.

But it’s fun! I love helping people and I love these machines!

I've been chasing this since it was announced and trying to find something more official to post rather than the various articles, etc. This is very concerning. As we all know - things can and do change quickly - and so I'll be monitoring this one closely.

Did an early “break-in” oil change on the Canyon XT today. Inspected things like belt, brakes, coolant, tightness of things. Book says at 3k it’s recommended some say do the break-in oil change around 600 miles. I tend to go around 1k-1,500 miles. I feel better about things that way.

Presently he hasn’t had enough demand to do lights for the Canyon but if you all know me at all, you know lights are my jam. I hollered at my boy Dan and gave him a list of parts and pieces I wanted him to ship to me. Put together my own setup with his amazing lights. I’m super happy with how it turned out!

On my personal machines and my first suggestion to customers when asked is all about Safety Mods! More lighting/better visibility and louder horns!

This is a TricLED USA Ryker Max Mount light kit that fits perfectly on the back of the Canyon and is plug and play! I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see TricLED and/or SlingMods (a reseller of theirs) to be selling this as a Canyon accessory after seeing this!

So Spyder-Man has gone rouge! I traded the 2016 F3S for a 2025 Canyon. No, I’m not changing my name to Canyon-Man. 🤪

Stay tuned for modifications being made to this Canyon to make it more comfortable for my Adventures!

Richardson Victory Shop

So the Kingpin has a 4.5 gallon tank and was spitting and sputtering and running out of gas at 3.5 gallons. No fuel light coming in.

Time to dissect this thing!

Siphoned tank dry. Removed the tank, removed the pump and filter. Yep, that filter is toast! New filter installed.

Added 0.75 gallons of gas. Tossed a spare 0.75 gallons of gas in the saddle bag and hit the road.

Did 7 miles with the gas light on, ran through all the gears, 6th gear and 70 mph. No spitting or sputtering!

At the gas tank it took 4gal to fill the 4.5 gallon tank. Woohoo! Job well done!

Well, never claimed to be a Buell mechanic and I’m pretty sure I still don’t but me and my helper (aka my son, and the Buell’s owner) finally got this one licked and learned an awful lot along the way. We’ll be MUCH better prepared for the next go round!

What started as a tire change front and rear ended up being a fair bit more.

Should have taken more pictures!
