Richardson Spyder Shop

Richardson Spyder Shop One of my many hobbies is that of Motorcycles and specifically Victories and Can-am Roadsters like Spyders/Rykers. I enjoy working on them and Lighting them up.

It is very much hobby/side gig but has garnered enough attention I created a page for it.

On my personal machines and my first suggestion to customers when asked is all about Safety Mods! More lighting/better visibility and louder horns!

This is a TricLED USA Ryker Max Mount light kit that fits perfectly on the back of the Canyon and is plug and play! I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see TricLED and/or SlingMods (a reseller of theirs) to be selling this as a Canyon accessory after seeing this!

So Spyder-Man has gone rouge! I traded the 2016 F3S for a 2025 Canyon. No, I’m not changing my name to Canyon-Man. 🤪

Stay tuned for modifications being made to this Canyon to make it more comfortable for my Adventures!

Shout out to Jackson Heuchan of Dreyer Honda Can Am for being such a great Salesman and friend to Richardson Spyder Shop!

So the Kingpin has a 4.5 gallon tank and was spitting and sputtering and running out of gas at 3.5 gallons. No fuel light coming in.

Time to dissect this thing!

Siphoned tank dry. Removed the tank, removed the pump and filter. Yep, that filter is toast! New filter installed.

Added 0.75 gallons of gas. Tossed a spare 0.75 gallons of gas in the saddle bag and hit the road.

Did 7 miles with the gas light on, ran through all the gears, 6th gear and 70 mph. No spitting or sputtering!

At the gas tank it took 4gal to fill the 4.5 gallon tank. Woohoo! Job well done!

Well, never claimed to be a Buell mechanic and I’m pretty sure I still don’t but me and my helper (aka my son, and the Buell’s owner) finally got this one licked and learned an awful lot along the way. We’ll be MUCH better prepared for the next go round!

What started as a tire change front and rear ended up being a fair bit more.

Should have taken more pictures!

See ya next time little Buell!

Richardson Victory Shop got to help a friend out today.

NOT OPEN - helping friends and family by exception case basis when time allows. Sorry folks!

This Vision had a rear blow out so it got new shoes front and rear. Man the front fought us to seat. I think the tire was deformed from shipping. Couldn’t get either side to get close enough so the bead blaster failed us a few times. We finally over came it.

Next up was the fact that the Mustang Seat and the close out panel don’t play together. Cut up Chainbreaker’s old close out panel and made it work. He now has Chainbreaker’s rider and passenger backrests, luggage rack, and close out panel - modderfied! Woot woot!

Not enough pics. I do that….I get sucked into the process and forget to take pics.

Richardson VICTORY Shop

I’ve wanted a Rabaconda for a LONG time and keep repeating the same line over and over - “Really? Is it really going to be worth that price tag?” I finally caved.

Where has this thing been all my life?!?!?!

Setup the first time took just a few minutes to figure out thumbing through the super nice bound manual. Breaking the bead was super easy. Getting the tire off was pretty easy! Getting the 2nd bead of the new tire on admittedly took “some” effort because it was a super stiff tire but WOWZERS so much easier than any other “manual” way I’ve tried. This thing IS WORTH IT to me. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long.

Now, getting the super stiff sidewall to bead seat was another story and chore. Resulted in a new air compressor (maybe not needed - some electrical concerns in my garage were uncovered).

Oh, another expensive tool I bought a long time ago used for much less than new is Big Blue! I don’t use this lift often but removing Victory wheels is one of the reasons I bust it out!

All in all, she’s back together and ready for a run to the Southeast Victory Rally! Woot woot!
