The association has bi-annual chapter meetings around the state as well as a once a year trade show to highlight vendors, service providers, other tow companies Founded to bring together a group of tow companies with the idea of unifiying rules, regulations, and procedures for the towing industry.

🎉 Celebrating the 110th Birthday of the Tow Truck! 🎉

On June 29, 1916, Ernest Holmes forever changed the automotive industry when he built the world’s first tow truck in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

What started as a simple solution to recover disabled vehicles has grown into an essential profession that keeps our highways safe, our communities moving, and our first responders supported every day.

For 110 years, towing and recovery professionals have answered the call—day or night, in all weather conditions, often risking their own safety to help others.

Today, we honor the innovation of Ernest Holmes and the generations of tow operators who have continued his legacy of service, professionalism, and dedication.
