The 16-car field is set for the Rooftec NHRA Competition Eliminator Cash Clash, which will take place Friday, Sept. 1, at the prestigious Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. From a total purse of 💰💰$50,000💰💰, the winner of the Rooftec NHRA Competition Eliminator Cash Clash will earn 💲💲$30,000💲💲. The event will also be covered during NHRA’s television broadcast of the U.S. Nationals.

“There’s no bigger show than Indy. It’s the biggest show of the year, and to have something like this at Indy is going to be great,” Brogdon said. “We’ve had great support for this special event, and I’m just excited to be in the position to help keep the class going and get it the attention it deserves. I just love the creativity involved in the class. There are so many great racers and so many cool cars, and I’m excited that everyone is going to get more exposure through programs like this.”

I wanted to take a moment and send out a HUGE thank you to everyone at the Topeka Doubleheader this past weekend. From the racers & crew, the Heartland Motorsports Park team, the great people at Racers For Christ and the NHRA staff, everyone did a fantastic job dealing with a very challenging weekend and making the best of some very hot weather. During the 5 days of racing, we sent over 3500 cars & bikes down the track and handed out over 3500 bottles of water.

I am very fortunate to be able to work with a great team, great facilities, and great competitors and crew. The weekend was an amazing display of teamwork on all fronts.

Looking forward to heading back for the final NHRA Menard's National Event in Topeka. Let's pack the house for an amazing show and a celebration of 34 years of NHRA drag racing in Topeka!

Good afternoon racers!

Below you'll see the Thursday Run Schedule for the Doubleheader Heartland Motorsports Park. Thank you to everyone for getting your entries purchased and tech cards filled out over the weekend. It made it much easier to work on the schedule.

We are going to focus on the morning and early afternoon hours to get most of our racing done. 7am-2pm are looking to be the "coolest" parts of each day, so we will be getting as much done as we can during that timeframe. Be ready to turn and burn in the mornings.

NHRA, RFC and HMP will be working together to provide bottled water, shade, cold towels and electrolyte packets in the staging lanes, top end, and at the tech building. We encourage all of you to take advantage of those areas. Also, be sure to check those ACs, grab sunscreen, bring plenty of ice, shade your cars in the pits and HYDRATE (before & during the race).

Safe travels to everyone heading this way and we are looking forward to a great race, despite the hot weather.

We will be releasing the Topeka Doubleheader Run Schedule on Monday. The more racers that have purchased their entries and completed their tech cards, the more efficient that schedule can be and give us more opportunities to keep you out of the heat. We know it’s going to be hot and we will do everything we can to make it as bearable as possible, including:

-Earlier start times
-Canopies setup with water, electrolyte packs and cold towels
-Limiting time in the lanes with less class stacking and calling large classes to the lanes in smaller groups (during qualifying).
-Completing track prep before to calling cars to the lanes

Prior to the race, make sure you have made plans to keep yourself as cool as possible. Start hydrating early and drink plenty of water and/or sports drink during the event, have shade at your pit area, check your ACs, bring plenty of ice with rags and cooling vests/packs, pack an umbrella for some relief in the lanes.

We can all work together to have a great event, despite the hot temperatures. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the original Double LODRS!

Attention Topeka LODRS Racers:

We are aware that the forecast is showing very hot weather for next week. Fingers are crossed that will trend cooler over the next few days, we are making plans to try and keep you as "cool" as possible during the race.

RFC, D5 & HMP will have canopies, water and towels available in several locations around the facility. We are also looking at possibly making some schedule adjustments to reduce racing during the hottest parts of the afternoon, but we need your help. We can't make any schedule adjustments until we have an idea of car counts...so if you are planning to attend, REGISTER NOW!! Get your entries purchased and your online tech cards submitted as soon as possible.

We will have a daily run schedule out on Monday, and the more racers that have registered, the more accurate and weather-friendly it can be. An entry link can be found at the post pinned to the top of the page.

We are just 8 weeks away from the 2023 NHRA Division 5 ET Finals, at Heartland Motorsports Park. The event will be held September 15th and 16th, with NHRA Wallys, 2024 Gold Cards, and the chance to head to Las Vegas and become an NHRA National Champion!

The only way to qualify is by getting out to your local track and competing in their ET Points Series, so now is the time. Check those schedules and make plans to attend two events and get on a team before it's too late.
