Tonight, it is with heavy hearts as we remember one of our own Benji Gallaher. Benji was a mod mini racer who was at BSFR every time we welcomed the class. He leaves behind a loving wife and two precious young children who now face an unimaginable loss. While nothing can replace the husband and father they've lost, we can come together as his racing family and help carry them through the difficult days ahead.
The racing community is more than competitors—it's a family. Today, that family has lost a fellow racer, a friend, and someone who shared the same passion we all have for this sport.
This Friday night, we will be asking drivers to please take off your helmets during intermission and come around through the grandstands and pits to collect donations. Every dollar, no matter the amount, will go directly to help support his wife and children.
If you're able to give, we ask that you do so from your heart. If you're unable to donate, we ask that you keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for showing what makes this racing community so special. Let's stand together, support this family, and honor the memory of our fellow racer. God bless you all, and please continue to keep his wife, children, family, and friends in your prayers.
