🚧 Winter Weather Preparation in Huntsville ❄️
Our Public Works team will be out Friday pretreating city streets ahead of the forecasted winter weather. Temperatures are expected to drop throughout the day, with precipitation accumulating through Sunday afternoon.

🔥 Warming Center Available:
The City of Huntsville is working closely with the Madison County EMS Director to provide a warming center at the Madison County EMS facility for anyone in need during this weather event. For hours and additional information, please contact Keith Edmonds at 479‑738‑2621.

🚑Madison County EMS will have an additional ambulance in service to meet emergency need during this weather event. Be cautious, slips and falls can be dangerous.

🐾 Remember your pets — the forecasted temperatures are dangerous for them too. Bring them indoors and keep them warm.

🌨️ Please stay home if you can and avoid unnecessary travel as conditions may become hazardous. To report a dangerous condition on a city street, call City Hall at 479‑738‑1333.

People have been asking why we closed Tugboat’s and I feel the need to explain, first of all we are exhausted, Justin or I or sometimes both of us spent many times 12-14 hours a day for six years at the restaurant from Tuesday-Saturday until this last year when we changed it to Wed-Sat, We spend Sunday’s at church and Justin preaches 2 services most Sundays.
Monday’s we spent going to Sam’s getting $1500-$2000 worth of food and supplies, as a small business owner you learn right in the beginning you have to pinch pennies and do alot of the footwork yourself.
The fact that it was a constant battle to keep qualified help that you could leave on their own and trust that food would go out with the quality you expect, don’t get me wrong we had some awesome employees that we miss dearly but this is a constant battle for any Employer that serves food.
But most of all the fact that all of this was making Justin and I be people we don’t want to be, as our workers know the stress is overwhelming at times and tends to make you a hard calloused person and we don’t want that way.
We thank our valued customers for supporting our small business the past 6 years.
Will Tugboats restaurant open back up, time will tell.

It is with heavy hearts that Justin and I have decided to close Tugboats Store and cafe for the time being, with food prices rising so much and lack of adequate staffing we feel it’s the best decision at this time, the Rv park will continue to be open and if it’s Gods will the store/cafe will open back up in the future, we want to thank our valued customers that we have gotten to know so well over the past 6 years and to our employees that we love so much!
Please be kind when you go out to restaurants they are struggling so much right now in the times we live in.
