Leadership Greater Huntsville inspire and ignite empowered leaders through education, collaboration, and stewardship.

We offer programs for high school and college students to senior executives. Leadership Greater Huntsville was established in 1987 as a vehicle to develop current and future leaders for our communithy. Each year men and women are selected to participate in programs led by many of the best and brightest in our community. Through LGH our community is assured of a continuing pipeline of educated leaders who function as agents of change. By identifying, educating and inspiring leaders to better serve their community, the continued growth and prosperity of our community and region is enhanced. Effective preparation for service is the legacy of LGH.

A lifelong Huntsville resident and dedicated community advocate, Michelle brings a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and public service to her role on the City Council. Before serving on the Council, she spent eight years on the Huntsville City School Board, where she championed the voices and needs of her community.

During this 12@12, Michelle will share her perspective on leadership, community engagement, and the future of Huntsville, as well as her journey from lifelong Huntsville resident to public servant.

What an incredible evening of conversation and thoughtful discussion with bestselling author and renowned speaker Priya Parker!

Leadership Greater Huntsville was proud to co-host (along with The Snail on the Wall and Randolph School) an engaging community conversation with Priya, author of The Art of Gathering and her newest book, The Art of Fighting: The Transformative Power of Conflict. The evening explored a topic that touches every workplace, team, family, and community: conflict.

Our CEO Christie Finley moderated an on-stage conversation with Priya, diving into how disagreement can actually strengthen relationships and help groups grow. Rather than viewing conflict as something to avoid, Priya challenged us to think about how we can approach difficult conversations with greater intention and use them as opportunities to build stronger, healthier relationships.

Thank you to Priya Parker, The Snail on the Wall, and Randolph School for bringing this important conversation to Huntsville, and to everyone who joined us for such a thoughtful evening!

Our LGH alumni had the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Huntsville’s most exciting developments— MidCity District!

Built on the former Madison Square Mall site, MidCity has transformed into a vibrant, mixed-use destination where community, culture, entertainment, and innovation come together. During our tour, alumni learned more about the vision behind the development, how MidCity continues to grow, and what’s next for this dynamic part of our community.

From dining and retail to outdoor gathering spaces, public art, and entertainment, MidCity has become a destination that brings people together and continues to shape the future of Huntsville.
