🎤 Speaker Spotlight: Dr. Mat Park

We are excited to welcome Dr. Mat Park to this year’s LeadOn Summit! As a sport and performance psychologist with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Park has helped leaders, athletes, and high performers strengthen their mental edge and perform with greater clarity and purpose. He spent 11 years as a Senior Organizational Effectiveness Advisor at NASA and currently serves elite athletes through the Mental Performance Golf Academy while speaking to organizations and leaders across the country.

In his LeadOn session, ONE: A Framework for Service in the Pursuit of Excellence, Dr. Park will challenge attendees to rethink what truly drives high performance and meaningful leadership. The Connect 28 Closing Retreat in Chattanooga gave the class an opportunity to reflect on the program year while exploring how another growing region is approaching leadership, innovation, quality of life, and community development. Through conversations with regional leaders and visits to organizations driving change across the Chattanooga area, participants examined how intentional collaboration can shape a community’s future and create long-term impact. The retreat also created space for the class to reflect on their own growth over the past ten months and the relationships built along the way. As the program year comes to a close, the experience served as both a celebration of the journey and a challenge to continue leading with purpose and action back home in the Huntsville region.

Perhaps the most impactful piece of the retreat was C-28's Small Group presentations at Redstone Federal Credit Union on Thursday night. Each group got to share their impact with their classmates and guests and the class got to reflect on just how much they did and how much they can do together. In total, our C-28 class served 1,074 hours, raised $74,000 in donations (both monetary and in-kind) and collected over 2000 items for donation. We are so proud of you, C-28! Leadership Greater Huntsville was proud to host our Annual Meeting yesterday, bringing together trustees, Legacy Level members, board members, alumni, and community stakeholders for an evening of celebration and reflection. During the event, we shared highlights and impact statistics from the past year, recognizing the growth and momentum across our programs and initiatives.

One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was hearing directly from class participants as they shared about their program experiences and the lasting relationships built through Leadership Greater Huntsville. Their stories served as a powerful reminder of the importance of investing in leadership development and community connection.
