We hope that everyone is safe and well during these uncertain times and cherishing the time with your loved ones. While we are still unsure as to when we will be able to continue with classes and drives, we are preparing for that inevitability. We have been receiving questions regarding our summer schedules and although we cannot promise that the dates and times will remain the same, we do recommend that you fill out the student contract and email it back to us with the dates/times you wish to sign up for in order to secure the registration. We will contact you if there are any changes to the schedule and give you first opportunity to choose a session. As you can imagine, we are expecting a lot of students to sign up as soon as the “stay at home” order is lifted. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us and we would be happy to assist you. In the meantime, please stay safe.

As we continue to monitor the situation and wait to hear from the Secretary of State, we will continue to operate for those that want to attend classes or behind the wheel drives. Please note that if our classes are shut down, the start dates for future classes will change. Please contact us with any questions.

I want to remind all y’all that were holding a donation drive at Kosta’s today from 11-5 for Turning Point, which I believe is the ONLY domestic violence shelter in McHenry County. Please come out and support this incredible organization. Either drop off an item, cash or sign up for the Santa Run, which helps Turning Point as well as several other local organizations.

A few upcoming events.
-We’re honored to be participating in the Huntley Memorial Day Parade and hope y’all can come out and support it.
-We’re heading back to the Woodstock Bible Church soup kitchen and food pantry on Sunday, June 2nd with a group of students.
-We’re bringing a group of students and holding a food drive outside the Huntley Walmart on Sunday, June 9th to support the Grafton Food Pantry. Please come out and show your support.

As we were looking for more volunteer opportunities for our driving students, we came in contact with this amazing organization called CASA OF MCHENRY COUNTY!! They help children of all ages and are looking for these items to distribute.

Infant: Diapers, Bottles, Bibs, Baby spoons, bowls, sippy cups
Toddler/Elementary Age: Coloring books, Stickers, crayons, drawing tablets, stamps with ink pads
Junior High/High School: Books, Gift cards to McDonald’s, Chick fil A, Subway, Walmart or Target

THE ITEMS MUST BE NEW and can be dropped off at our office at One Way Driving School located at 10395 Vine St., Huntley between the hours of 3pm-8:30pm, M-Th.
Please help spread the word to help kids in need right here in Mchenry County.

It has been amazing to be around such great young people who are unselfish with their time and willing to volunteer with us at a soup kitchen. We have made two trips so far to a soup kitchen in Woodstock with students from our classes. Thank you to them and their parents!
