Huntington Beach Lights the Way

New city-branded light poles now illuminate the walking path along Pacific Coast Highway between Main Street and First Street, creating a more inviting and walkable connection among Downtown Huntington Beach, Pacific City, and our resort hotels.

The project enhances the pedestrian experience while making it easier and more enjoyable for residents and visitors to move between these important destinations.

Visit Huntington Beach (VHB) funded the project, with installation provided by the City of Huntington Beach. The project is part of the ongoing collaboration between VHB and the City to enhance key visitor areas and improve the experience throughout Huntington Beach.

Downtown is shining a little brighter!
New bistro lights now illuminate the mid-block pedestrian walkway connecting Main Street and 5th Street in Downtown Huntington Beach. Located between Longboards and Sandbar on Main Street and between Cruisers and Sur Coffee on 5th Street, this breezeway provides a unique connection through the heart of Downtown.

Years in the making, the new lighting adds a warm, inviting ambiance and creates an even more welcoming experience for residents, visitors, and businesses.

The project was made possible through a partnership between the Downtown Business Improvement District, which paid for the lights and installation, and the City of Huntington Beach, representing another investment in Downtown’s public spaces.

Take a stroll down these City walkways and experience Downtown Huntington Beach in a whole new light.
