You never know what’s going to show up on the pre-owned lot at Texan GMC.

Take a walk through the inventory and you’ll find a little bit of everything.

The biggest discount isn’t always the best deal.

When you’re buying a vehicle, don’t look at the rebate and interest rate as two separate things.

Sometimes taking a promotional APR means giving up certain incentives. Other times, taking the bigger discount means financing at a higher rate.

Which one is better?

It depends on how much you’re financing, the rate you qualify for, and how long you plan to keep the loan.

If you’re planning to pay the vehicle off quickly, the bigger upfront incentive could make more sense. If you’re financing for several years, a lower APR could potentially save you more in interest over the life of the loan.

That’s why we want to run the numbers both ways.

Don’t just ask which option gives you the biggest discount. Ask which one costs you less overall.

This is basically an off-road monster.

The Sierra 2500 HD AT4X takes heavy-duty capability and adds some serious off-road hardware.

You get Multimatic DSSV dampers, additional underbody protection, off-road-focused suspension and capability, plus the premium AT4X interior with features like available massaging front seats.

And we’ve actually got two AT4X 2500s sitting here at Texan GMC.

But there’s another truck we’re waiting on.

An AT4X AEV Edition in Coastal Dune that’s currently being built with American Expedition Vehicles equipment and some additional modifications. Once that truck arrives, we’ll give you a full look at the finished build.

We had six or seven. Now we’re down to the last two.

The La Mamalona builds have been moving.

These single-cab trucks come with the lowered stance, 22-inch wheels, upgraded interior with a center console and leather, Denali-inspired grille and badging, painted fender flares, bed liner, La Mamalona branding, and plenty more.

But here’s the best part.

You don’t necessarily have to buy one exactly the way we built it.

What GMCs are the hardest for us to keep on the lot?

Right now, there are a few that stand out.

The Buick Envista continues to move well, but the HUMMER EV has become especially difficult for us to keep around.

At the time we filmed this, we didn’t have a single new HUMMER EV sitting on the lot. As soon as they come in, we’re seeing them move quickly.

And Clay might have something to do with that.

He's owned three of them himself, so when someone comes in asking about a HUMMER EV, they’re talking to someone who actually lives with them and knows the vehicle.

The Canyon has cooled off a little compared to those, but it’s still a strong option, especially for someone who wants a midsize truck or the off-road capability available in trims like the AT4 and AT4X.

Inventory tells you a lot about what people are actually buying.
