UPDATE (July 19, 9:30 AM): Sunday morning update on floodgate operations -
• Buchanan Dam - Hydrogeneration to pass floodwaters has begun. At least one gate will be opened around 5 PM today.
• Inks Dam - Flow over the spillway is expected to begin this evening (Inks Dam has no floodgates, designed for floodwater to go over the spillway)
• Wirtz, Starcke, Mansfield, and Tom Miller Dams - floodgates remain open

UPDATE (4:48 PM): LCRA plans to open at least one floodgate at Buchanan Dam on Sunday, July 19 around 5 PM.
Lake Buchanan is expected to remain in a range of 1019.5 to 1020 feet above msl over the next 48 hours.
Water will begin flowing over the Inks Dam spillway Sunday evening, as a result of floodgate operations at Buchanan Dam. Inks Dam does not have floodgates and is designed for floodwaters to flow over its designated spillway.

LCRA will open at least two floodgates at Mansfield Dam tomorrow, Saturday, July 18. The first gate is expected to be opened around 6 AM. The second gate is expected to be opened at 1 PM.

UPDATE (Friday July 17, 9:46 AM): Multiple floodgates remain open at both Wirtz Dam and Starcke Dam to pass floodwaters into Lake Travis.
Lake Travis has risen almost 6 feet since yesterday. Lake Travis is expected to rise to a range of 682 to 684 feet above msl through Saturday, July 18.

UPDATE (4:14 PM): Floodgate operations are underway at Wirtz Dam and Starcke Dam. LCRA plans to open additional floodgates at both dams later this evening.
The water will be passed downstream into Lake Travis. Flows below the dams will be higher and faster than usual.
LCRA projects Lake Travis will rise to between 680 and 681 ft. msl through Friday. Additional inflows could cause the lake to rise into its flood pool.

REMINDER: Wirtz Dam creates Lake LBJ and Starcke Dam creates Lake Marble Falls. The runoff will flow from Lake LBJ into Lake Marble Falls and then into Lake Travis.
