This Dart LT aluminum block just received a true 3-step diamond plateau hone, producing the correct cylinder wall finish for modern performance ring packages. The final surface provides excellent ring seal, reduced friction, and long-term durability.

Thereโ€™s more to cylinder preparation than simply making it round. The honing process is where power, oil control, and engine longevity begin. Every bore is measured, honed, and finished with precision to achieve the desired surface profile and crosshatch pattern.

This is a head that was an absolute disaster, with burned-up exhaust valves, pounded exhaust seats, and wiped-out exhaust guides.
Brand new exhaust guides, new exhaust valves, and seats precisely cut, and it's ready to go for a million miles! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜Ž Is cutting corners and pushing substandard work out my door an option? No, it hasn't been for over forty years; my pride and respect for my customers won't allow me to do that. Pride is really lacking in this country today. ๐Ÿ˜ช

From dirty and oil-stained to fully reconditioned and ready for service.

This 1999 Acura Integra cylinder head came into the shop needing a complete overhaul. After disassembly, thermal cleaning, inspection, machining, valve work, resurfacing, and final assembly, itโ€™s ready to go back on the engine.

Thereโ€™s something satisfying about taking a worn-out cylinder head and bringing it back to life. Quality machine work, attention to detail, and over 40 years of experience make all the difference.

So I'm looking through Marketplace and see this local guy has reconditioned heads listed (for cheap), and as I'm looking at the pictures, I notice the exhaust seats look like they were done with a wood rasp, and the heads are obviously cracked. Also surfaced on a belt surfacer. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I know where the Magnum heads are notorious for cracking. Sure enough, they're cracked! ๏ฟผ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

People, be careful who you choose to do your machine work. Lots of hacks out there!
