Some things are bigger than just building a truck.

I’ve known this family for over 25 years. His dad and I went to school together, we’ve done business together, and now it’s pretty cool to see the next generation coming up.

This build is for his son, who isn’t even old enough to drive yet. Instead of buying something new, they’re building a classic Chevy the right way—clean, simple, and timeless. No flashy trends, just an old-school truck with the kind of touches that’ll still look good 20 years from now.

There’s something special about a father putting together a truck for his kid. Those are the memories that last long after the paint cures and the keys are handed over.

We’re grateful they trusted Mooney’s Autobody Experts to be part of it. We can’t wait to see this young man cruising it when the time comes.

Another one headed home. 🔥

This Subaru WRX came to us for something truly different.

A genuine Japanese Varis widebody kit was custom fit, molded, and blended into the body for a seamless, one-of-one look. We then refinished the entire car and re-cleared every carbon fiber panel to bring out the depth and finish it deserved.

Over 300 hours of fabrication, bodywork, paint, and finishing went into this build. Every panel, every body line, and every detail was carefully crafted to make this car look like it rolled off the factory floor this way.

Projects like this don’t happen overnight, but seeing the finished product makes every hour worth it.

Tomorrow this WRX heads back home to Detroit, and we couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out.

Keeping up with Dad is tough work…

Maverick put in a full shift at the shop today trying to keep up with Dad. Between checking on repairs, supervising the crew, and making sure nobody was slacking off, the little guy gave it everything he had.

The result? Lights out before dinner. 😴

I guess when you’re trying to match the pace of an autobody shop owner, even the boss needs a nap.

Work hard. Nap harder.

🚨 ATTENTION EVERYONE 🚨

The boss showed up to work today.

Maverick has officially taken over operations, which means there will be zero shenanigans, zero goofing off, and maximum productivity. He’s already inspected the shop, questioned several management decisions, and demanded snacks as part of his compensation package.

Morale is high, accountability is higher, and if you see anyone standing around, expect a stern look from the new supervisor.

At this rate, we should have the entire week’s work done by lunch… assuming the boss doesn’t call for a recess to play with Hot Wheels.
