Fuel Ethanol Workshop: June 2-4 in St. Louis Missouri. Jess Hewitt, President of HYPERFUELS, will speak in Track 3 about ethanol co-products. Presentation is "High Value Products from Ethanol Increase Sales and Revenue" He came with that all by himself.
Here are some highlights that we can share (so many surprises that we cannot share)
* E15 sales volumes in Iowa (2024-2025) increased 59%!
*** E10 fell by 13% and E85 sales fell by 20%
**** Net over all increase in E10, E15 and E85 sales volumes was only1%
In that same period how did the more expensive ethanol-free gasoline perform?
* E-free gasoline volumes increased 5% (I know the MBA's scream every time I tell them this product has price inelasticity. I can explain June 4)
We make our ethanol-free gasoline using a co-product of ethanol production and we add it at rates from 12.5% to 17% (24% for off road).
Ethanol producers are hitting a blend wall. They keep pushing using fancy figures.
Gas station owners want to sell a product that has growth opportunities not rely on grants and "fun with statistics".
