PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
The position will be responsible for processing all truck activity for DOT Hazardous/Non Hazardous loading and unloading within the terminal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process all Inbound/Outbound Trucks for loading/unloading in Oscar and ECC
• Prepare all necessary shipping documents for inbound/outbound loadings.
• Perform/Verify weight calculations for compartment trucks.
• Verify Load limits/restrictions to meet DOT standards.
• Verify loading restriction for all Federal Regulated products.
• Provide quality assurance for all Inbounds/Outbound.
• Provide operations with detailed operational instructions based on customer nominations.
• Insure terminal operations remain in compliance.
• Perform duties that will facilitate the achievement of customer/terminal goals.
• Attend regular scheduled safety meetings, and perform online scheduled safety training courses.
• Focal point for all truck issues/problems for communication to appropriate personnel
(Carrier/Oiltanking /CSR) during after-hours.
• Assist with basic back up duties for other positions within the control room.
• Ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift, as well as cover paid time off for another 12 hour rotating shift.
OVERALL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Must speak English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Routinely interacts with customers, clients, and others to represent the organization and maintain effective communication.
• Good basic math and problem solving skills.
• Basic Knowledge in the Transportation/Chemical Industry.
• Time management and the ability to multi-task with a high degree of organizational ability and attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Previous ECC / SAP R2 experience preferred but not mandatory
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to perform/comply with following items, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and /or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• Must be physically able to participate in emergency response drills
• Must be able to pass a DOT random drug test
