🚨 SCAM ALERT: We Stopped a Half-Million Dollar Theft 🚨
Last week, a scammer nearly stole a 2024 Rolls-Royce Cullinan by impersonating a legitimate carrier. They hacked an account on Central Dispatch and requested us send them the load.The carrier had a 2 car hardside trailer with a rating of 4.9 Stars and they have an active MC # with a one million cargo insurance policy in effect. Everything sounded normal and it was just another dispatch call.
Because Top Auto Logistics follows a strict Verification process, we caught the scam before it was too late. When we requested a Certificate of Insurance (COI), the real carrier owner was cc’d in the email—immediately exposing the fraud. Most only verify the ratings and insurance listed on Central Dispatch. If we hadn’t followed company protocol, the car would be gone.
Scammers are getting smarter, and the transport industry is a prime target. We've now added an extra level of security to provide even more protection for our clients. We also work closely with dealerships to ensure the shipping process is smooth without issues..Cutting corners isn’t worth the risk—always verify!
