Over the past several weeks, many Thunderbird owners have contacted VTCI asking the same question:
“Is the 2026 Flagstaff Convention still happening?”
The answer is an emphatic YES!
Following a special meeting of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International Board of Directors, VTCI voted unanimously to continue planning and producing the 2026 Thunderbird Convention in Flagstaff, Arizona, September 8–13, 2026.
The Board further committed VTCI's resources to ensuring the convention moves forward successfully and remains the premier gathering of Thunderbird enthusiasts from around the world.
Convention planning continues every day. Hotel arrangements remain in place, tours are finalized, vendors and sponsors are being contacted, and volunteers continue working to create a memorable event for attendees.
Most importantly, all Thunderbird enthusiasts are welcome.
Whether you are a member of any international Thunderbird club, a local Thunderbird club, another automotive organization, or simply an owner who enjoys these remarkable automobiles, we invite you to join us in Flagstaff.
The Thunderbird hobby has always been about more than organizations. It is about the cars, the people, the friendships, and the shared experiences that come from bringing Thunderbird enthusiasts together.
If you have friends who own Thunderbirds, please share this message with them. We want everyone to know that the convention is moving forward and that they are welcome to participate.
